Easy install. The hardest part is committing the drill to the plastic. Took me about an hour. If I had to do it again; 20 minutes. Paint match was perfect. I used the included template and the marks lined up just fine. Because you only get one shot at drilling the holes, I made notes on the template indicating the 3 holes to be drilled for the left side and the 2 holes for the right. And remember to flip the template over! Confused? Watch the Cruiseman install video on YouTube. Even with all that care, I had to lightly dress one or two of the holes with a rasp so there wouldn't be any stress on the plastic when I tightened the bolts up. There was no grommet on the wiring to seal the hole in the trunk lid as shown in the instructions. I guess Honda feels it's not needed to keep water out or to prevent scuffing of the wire on the hole. I'll probably go back in to take a look in a few months or so. If I see any evidence of scuffing, I'll put a wrap or two of electrical tape on the wires to protect them. If I see any water, a dab of sealer should do the trick. All in all, I am very pleased with the look and the added safety the additional brake light brings. Thinking about adding a modulator to it next... |
| Having had these on my Goldwing for over two years, the right support arm (the one that the pad assembly sits on) has had a terrible flaking and delaminating of the chrome plating. The left one is fine, so it is definitely a poor chrome job on that right arm. I've left multiple email messages with Rivco to see if they will address this issue or even provide the cost of the replacement part without a single response. The only solution at this point I am planning on taking is to have both arms powder coated. |
| Had to wait a long time for this shade - looks solid. However, you have to drill a whole to have access to the power button. You might also watch out that you do not cover the flap that covers the USB connection. Vision-X stated that they might think about improvements. I think they should provide a product that meets the advertised Garmin GPS w/o having to do a lot of 'DIY'. |

| These are cool and you do not have to flip out the heel if you don't want to. Well made and easy to install. Comfortable. I've had mine for a while now, just check the screws every so often to keep them tight and secure. |
| Yep, they work like OEM should. Replaced at 27,000 miles. Spark plugs are easy to replace on the Goldwing. No reason not to change them out every so often. |
| The first one I could not tighten tight enough in order to keep one of the plastic bushings to catch and stay in place. The second one I purchased, I've had no problems. Installs by using the four seat screws. The height adjusts slightly. Once you have in your correct spot, I don't know how anyone rides without one. Spouse likes the pouch on the back of the rest. |
| I have the large size. This really helps with circulation and is comfortable. Well made. I do not have it secured to the seat with the straps, because I only use it on long trips. Being able to adjust the air pressure simply is very nice. |
| I have had this cup holder for over a year now. I've had no issues and it works well. Drink will not spill or fall out of the cup holder due to its self pivoting design. Easy to temporary remove it if you wish due to Ram mount. |
