This bag does indeed fit the trunk wonderfully, but the first time I used it, I tore a big hole in the back of the bag. I don't know what caused it, but when unpacking found the L shaped tear in the back, love the shape and fit so will see if I can find something made of a more durable material or maybe make my own from leather, was a good product, but the material just isn't cutting it on this item.
After installing these my bike feels new again. Just rock steady smoothness. Feels better in corners too. One small drawback...these make my bike feel so smooth, higher speeds don’t feel as high any more. Gotta keep a better eye on the speedo!!
As far as mounting, it was easy. When it comes to useful, not so much. If I use the included cozy with bottles of water, it works fine, but if I try and use a 30 oz tumbler like a Yeti, the holder wants to flip over as the cup is too tall and heavy and the base is too small to be held firmly in the holder. When I tried a 20 oz tumbler, it is too small to be held firmly in the holder and sloshes around. Unless you have a lid that fits tight it will spill all over. I am also afraid the cup will bounce out when I hit bumps. The holder is made to fit a specific cup and I wish it were smaller.

I am very happy with this set, easy to install and they and more visibility to the front of the Wing. Thank you again WINGSTUFF |
I just want to say that the all balls needle bearings was the best thing that ever happened to my Goldwing. Honda should be ashamed of themselves by putting such a cheap roller bearing in a great motorcycle that has been known as the King of the Road. For those who want to know how much this modification cost, I had it done at a professional Honda dealer with a great reputation, and it was over 5 hours labor at $90 an hour you do the math. I would spend it all over again if I had to, that's how much of a difference it made in the performance and stability of the Goldwing. I wouldn't hesitate to buy these and have them installed professionally, I've been riding over 40 years and I've had 4 gold wings starting with the gl1000 back in 1975. I am now a proud owner of a 40th anniversary edition Goldwing and It now feel it's complete. Thank you all balls for making a great product, I love my Goldwing again.
I had these in for a few months and then took them out and went with RaceTech springs and emulators. They just made the ride too harsh and the front end sit up an additional half inch.
Ordered this through racetech a few weeks ago and just completed a 3,000 mile trip. I should have done this upgrade many miles ago. Much better suspension than when the bike was new!! Previously tried the Progressive set up and went back to stock then put this on. WOW what a difference.
Just too little!! Have had this on my bike 10 years and it still looks new. Wish I would have purchased something bigger!
The ONLY manual you need. Very detailed and accurate. Much better than the factory manual for my FJR1300!! Yamaha look at this and learn!
I have had these on my GL1800 for 7 years. The chrome still looks good. They light up brighter with the brake lights. I don't like gaudy lights on my bike and purchased these just to be seen better at night on the freeway. Definitely worth buying just for the increased visibility of the bike from the side at night. I now have two of the lights that have a led out in them. I would repurchase these if they came in black instead of chrome. They were an easy install.
There was one on my '86 when I bought it, so when I upgraded to an '02 I had to have one. The changes in the adjusting mechanism are great. With the one on the '86 you had to pull a pin to free the backrest from the bracket. With this one you just turn a knob. I'm 6'0" tall and it fits me just fine.
Do they come as a pair?
