| My intent was to try and minimize the collection of exhaust soot after a days ride, and sure enough this was a huge improvement. After seeing some of the results from people carring cooler racks with luggage mounted that went into meltdown with the stock or straight exhaust ends, the turn downs offer an additional benefit.
