Chrome Mirror Housings for Honda GL1800
ITEM CODE: AO451232,   SKU: AO451232

11.02.2023
As Jackman wrote, I had a minor tipover while stopped in the carport and the one mirror housing was quite broken. I too was SHOCKED by Honda’s coloured replacement cost so ordered these and they’re a fine addition and look like they were meant to be chrome in the first place. BE CAREFUL removing and replacing the small screws that hold the mirror mount/bracket to the inner frame. It’s a tunnel just waiting for you to drop one of those screws and the foul language will begin!

Rubber Baby Buggy Bumpers for GL1800
ITEM CODE: PRRBBB,   SKU: PRRBBB

...when I bought/installed these bumpers 2 years ago for my other Gold Wing (I have two '08 Airbags - one for summer in Canada, one I just bought for wintering in AZ). After reading Coyote79's review I went to Home Depot and bought some 5/16" O.D. clear vinyl tubing. I managed to get it around (inserted a piece from both ends) BUT the lid wouldn't close far enough to 'latch' (too thick/firm) so back to Home Depot, bought some 1/4" O.D. clear tubing (took the 5/16" out) and got it completely around inside the trunk seal (lube it up good with Dawn dishwashing soap). The trunk lid latches firmly with 'nothing' on the trunk rack and I know will be excellent with some weight on the rack. GREAT IDEA for $3+!

ISO-Grips Black for use w/OEM Heated Grips for GL1800
ITEM CODE: KU6383,   SKU: KU6383

09.25.2011
I'm starting to wonder about Kury's commitment to quality control. I have two HD baggers with the chrome ISO's (but not for fitting over heated grips) and they have been fine. First off, they didn't finish the metal parts completely; there is bare unpainted metal where the collar fits over the rubber factory grip collar so I'm thinking they'll rust in short time. The rubber sleeves slid on easily (I used WD40 to assist). The metal clamshells are quite thin gauge metal and though I got the tabs to line up correctly, the grips "swell" in the center giving a slightly bulbous look (small space appears towards halfway point along grip). I 'gently' used a small-bladed screwdriver to fully pull the rubber extrusions through the holes in the clamshells. I WILL recommend these though because if you don't like the thin factory grips, or the throttle twitching that occurs when you try to maintain slow speed throttle at the same time as you're reaching for turn-signals, switches, etc., you'll like these. I like the diameter of these MORE than the ISO's on my HD's because of the slightly larger diameter. I installed with the over-sized throttle extension and it's a great combo.

Kuryakyn Chrome Luggage Rack w/Rubber Inlay for GL1800
ITEM CODE: KU7151,   SKU: KU7151

09.12.2011
I just received this item and installed it. DO NOT BUY THIS ITEM UNLESS YOU HAVE TOOLS AND ARE HANDY! The first problem was one of the legs of the rack WOULD NOT accept ANY of the 4 rack risers that I purchased with this item. It 'appeared' to be out-of -round. I managed to use a piece of hardwood and hammer and drove the riser onto the leg (hope I never have to get it off). BTW, two of the legs were welded adequately to the rack, one was welded poorly (bad/uneven stitches) and one was VERY undercut but will no doubt hold together. Not one of the legs would accept the supplied 10-24 machine screws. All the legs had debris (chrome) inside the tapping. I had to go buy a 10-24 machine screw tap and re-tap all 4 legs. The front legs installed easily but the 10-24 x 2" screws are TOO LONG for the rear legs. Fortunately I had double the hardware (for the rack AND the riser kit) so was able to double up the larger rubber washers for the rear legs at the same time as tripling the metal washers under the screw heads in the trunk. I'll cut the screws shorter when I'm back home. Another BTW, the right rear leg was NOT at the right angle to meet the trunk surface squarely but with two rubber washers under it the riser won't mark the trunk. Before pieces are chromed it is ESSENTIAL they are polished to a mirror finish. The underside of the rack appears not to be polished at all (or minimally, you can see the marks left by the rollers or break) hence I expect to have problems with the chrome in the future. Very sorry I bought this thing.
