Too big, little heat and bad chrome
I had a set of these on my 2012 Level III, the clam-shell design makes them too big to be comfortable when wearing gloves (I wear gloves almost 100% of the time when riding). The heat transmitted to your hands is very limited, nothing near what is being produced by the stock grips. Yes, I ride, I ride a lot, the chrome started peeling around 40,000 miles and my bike is garage kept except when on a trip. I eventually took these off and threw them away, them wrapped my grips in tennis racket tape from Walmart; the perfect size and transmits heat great. |

Visible Turn Signals
I bought this item so the turn signals on my 2012 GL1800 could be seen when carrying a trunk or cooler on a rack in the trailer hitch. I constantly get compliments on how much these lights improve visibility. A definite good investment. I am not fond of how a small portion of the wires can be seen and only 4-stars because like others the original set did not work correctly. Do let this stop you from ordering because if this happens to you the guys at WingStuff will take care of you with a no hassle exchange |

Easy Install
Looks like the stock reflector but it's a light. Easy to install, must drill a hole for wires then tap into tag light like others mentioned. NOTE: this light MUST be wired with power and ground connected properly or it WILL NOT WORK! |

Concerns extended tongue, yes
I had the same concerns with the increased torque put on the receiver after purchasing this hitch late 2011. I really like how the receiver hardware attaches to the bike completely hidden. All seemed well with the hitch until I went to the New England area last summer riding two up with my and the wife's supplies for a week. Granted the trailer was loaded but I did try to put the heavier items in the back to reduce tongue weight; however due to the toll the harsh New England winters some of the roads were in terrible shape. (We took scenic backroads and not the superslab) Upon returning home. I noticed the steel plates that good the receiver were bent thus putting the ball about 3" lower than original height. I took the receiver off and be t it back as best I could but I am still concerned with the issue that bent it in the first place, the extended tongue of the insert. Even though I love how this hitch mounts to the bike due to the receiver bending I would not purchase this hitch again until it is truly made for a Gen II 1800. Yes, I need to call Wingstuff and discuss my concerns with them; so far they have had great customer service. |

Chrome Mirror Trim
The adhesive tape was a little tricky but with patience it went on fairly easy. Adds a nice chrome look to the mirror; but what I wanted the trim to do was cover a chip in the mirror housing thanks to my bike being hit by s piece of broken drywall and the mirror housing being pushed backed into the windshield. The chrome trim covered it nicely and much cheaper than replacing the mirror assembly. I do have handwings, so to avoid having to remove the handwing stop on the bottom of the mirror housing I carefully marked the location of the handwing stop and just cut out a section of the trim for the stop device. Worked great, looks good and I still have the handwing stop. |

Helps in rain
After taking a direct hit from a piece of scrap drywall to the front of my Wing last week unfortunately the right-side leg-wing did not survive, nor did I expect it too survive the hit; but after riding in rain a couple days later my right shoe got wet but the left shoe did not. when I purchased these I questioned if they work but after this experience I found out they do make a difference when riding in rain. |

Did not break
After taking a direct hit from a piece of scrap drywall to the front of my Wing last week the right-side hand-wings were also hit. They did NOT break! A good investment. PS-as for the loosing issue, I also experienced this with the right-side hand-wing, a drop of Loctite solved the problem. not a big issue. They do provide a lot of air to rider and passenger in hot weather. |

Did not break
After taking a direct hit from a piece of scrap drywall to the front of my Wing last week the air-wings were also hit. They did NOT break! They were hit so hard the bracket was bent back a little but no damage to the air-wings. A good investment as I feel air-wings are a must-have item and they held up to impact. |

Shoei
I love a SHOEI helmet, fits great. Hint: When installing a J&M headset you need to cut the foam in th ehelmet where the speakers go all the way back for a comfortable fit. With my big ears it just wasn't comfortable until I did this, then I loved the SHOEI again. |
