Kuryakyn Armrest w/ Drink Holder for GL1800
ITEM CODE: KU8991,   SKU: KU8991

04.27.2011
Bought these with the Backrest Combo deal. Giving this three stars as the brackets in the passenger pockets aren't well made to fit as intended ... they don't fit flush to the back AND to the sides as I'm sure Kuryakyn intended them to.

Believe me, I spent over an hour positioning and repositioning the brackets, trying to get them to sit in the pockets so that they fit snuggly against the sides and backs of the pockets. They just weren't manufactured (or designed) properly.

You end up putting strain on the brackets, or worse, your trunk and pocket plastic.

I ended up using multiple washers to take up the empty spaces where the brackets should have ended up being flush to the inside sides and backs of the passenger pockets.

My left armrest also swings inward more than the right side and looks weird. Not sure if this is normal or not.

Time will tell if I end up with issues in earlier posts about chrome flaking off.
