Cylinder Head Cover
ITEM CODE: BB52-954, SKU: BB52-954
I bought these about a year ago and they looked great for about 6 months. However, the black paint begins to peel off. It was a defective paint job. I have to remove mine and get them re-powder coated.
The Perfect Ride HandGuards
ITEM CODE: AOHG-1, SKU: AOHG-1
These Perfect Ride Hand Guards have a flaw that potential buyers should be made aware of. First, you have to grind some plastic off the throttle side handguard to make it fit. Not much and you can't notice it when they are on but they definitely need to be trimmed before they will fit the 2018 Wing on the throttle side. The clutch side fits fine. There is also a cutout portion on the throttle side that lets cold air in, only on the throttle side. It's about 1 1/2 inches x 3 inches, I'm not sure why it is there but it is really strange to have such an opening that allows cold air in. I'll probably put a piece of duct tape over it when it gets really cold. The only other minor distraction is the partial blocking of your rearview in the mirrors. Not bad but there. In the end, they perform well, look OK and are a welcome addition for wintertime riding especially in the rain your gloves stay dry.
I bought this rack to carry a sissy bar bag on the back of my 2018 Goldwing. It works excellent for that purpose. I only gave it 3 stars because the powder coating was peeling off at the edge where it's bent. Other than that it is well built. Installation is easy, ignore the instructions that talk about warming up the surfaces so the adhesive can stick. There is no adhesive, I assume they are talking about the 6 LB warning label. Another useful trick is when it comes to putting on the rubber strips that conceal the mounting hardware, coat the surface of the rubber attachment points with a dish soap/water solution. Getting those two rubber strips on will be the hardest part of the installation.
