I mounted this this past weekend, easy to mount and Im not a technician. You have to drill four 1/2" holes in the back of your trunk and the Speaker housing which four rubber encased spreadable nuts are inserted to keep the trunk or the speaker housing from busting under use. I think they will work fine, however since they do not have a vertical brace, Im sure they are not as strong as the other time armrests. They will not work in conjunction with the Honda shorty armrests. The wife likes them much more than the shorty Honda ones. I like the way they look when she is not on the bike and are folded up. I always thought the other ones looked like walkers for the elderly. My only concern is if I drop the bike with a passenger will it crack my speaker housing and trunk lid? Oh well, thats why I pay for insurance I guess. They do look good!
