Wig Wag Brake Modulator
ITEM CODE: PU20500031,   SKU: PU20500031

06.14.2010
Very easy install IF...THROW AWAY THE INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS! Simply enter through the TRUNK! Remove BOTH rear lights. Remove the center cover for the trunk lid and side lid opening mechanisms (center of trunk just inside...has 3 screws holding plastic cover). Drill 1 (one) hole large enough for a wire to run from the bulb compartment into the lid opening mechanism area. Drill one larger hole in the plastic cover of the mechanism cover. Mount the Wig Wag on the outside of this cover and feed the 5 wires through the larger hole into the lid opening mechanism area! Now Feed the black (grounf wire) to the CB or radio ground. Take the red wire (hot) to the green/red wire on the Goldwings rear lights (either side will do fine) clip this wire. Connect the red wire from the Wig Wag to the wire that runs back to the FRONT of the motorcycle (keeping this simple) connect either the white/red OR the red/white from the Wig Wag to the end to the light bulb! NOW, this is the scary part!! On the remainder of the bulbs...CLIP the SAME bulb wire (the green/red bulb wire and connect the Wig Wag wires in sync! If you connected the red/white Wig Wag wire to one of the right bulbs then you will connect the red/white wire to the other! Then on the left side, connect the two left bulbs to the white/red wire from the Wig Wag! The wires on each of the other 3 bulbs should be tied off and NOT used as the power is coming from the first bulb connection! The orange wire is not used. THIS PROCESS IS USED IF USING THE FIRST METHOD ONLY! Now use duct tape and NEATLY tape the excess wires to the back of the middle cover and reattach. It will not interferre with anything if done properly! A POINT ... I would not use clips to tie the wires together. I used old fashioned twist, solder and wrap with electricians tape. I hope this helps. With this method...the rear lights flash back and forth as noted!!!
