Rick shows off the Kuryakyn accessories on his GL1800

If you are going to show off a product set that is mostly lighting.... at least do part of the video in a darkened room so we can see how the lights look

Rick’s Reviews Episode 11: LST Horizon Heli Bars

I was aware of the adjustability of these bars so I expected that...and they deliver..precise positioning is quite easily obtained.

I ordered these to improve low speed handling when I'm fully loaded....Wow do they make a difference...the flex in the GW forks is completely eliminated because the bars 'connect' across the top. As the video mentioned... better confidence in steering inputs/outputs...didn't much at higher speed but they are a marked improvement over stock there as well.

I added the Zumo mount as that's about all I use on my wing... easy to mount, good adjustability and very high quality. The round cross bar looks to be solid enough to mount other devices if such are needed.

Overall one of the best investments I've made in the wing

Corded v. Bluetooth Headsets: Which One Is Right for You?

Wow... talk about a one sided view of the world. It might much more useful if you got a broader perspective of the Pro/Con's of both corded and bluetooth communication and published that rather than the biased content from J&M.

I switched everything to SENA bluetooth and got rid of the corded hassle and now can get off the wing and on the bmw and use the same helmet and comms.

BTW Contrary to the article there is a CB integration for the wing..not necessarily cheap but it does work....works way better than CB does these days. If you aren't interested in the transmitting on the CB SENA also make a bluetooth dongle that connects to the wing audio and you can hear everything on the wing's sound system...and have all the features of the bluetooth.

The Perfect Ride HandGuards
ITEM CODE: AOHG-1,   SKU: AOHG-1

4 Stars

I use a Kaoko throttle control (long story about why) so I had to not use the right hand throttle end attachment and widened the hole to accommodate the guard... works fine the pivot mounting bolt is plenty sturdy. Left side attached with no issues. Regular winter weight gloves work exceptionally well in high 30's to 40's. Even in the mid-30's I never turned the grip heaters above a '3' setting. Above 50 I use non-vented leather gauntlet style gloves with the grip heaters off. IF you ride cold weather... highly recommended

Freewire Bluetooth Wireless Adapter for Honda Goldwing
ITEM CODE: SEFREEWIRE-02,   SKU: SEFREEWIRE-02

02.28.2017

4 Stars

I'm a long time user of the SM10 and SR10... both were good at what they do..

The Freewire is something of a "better buggy whip" as CB radio is an old technology with declining use overall. That said.. this product does fill a need to enable a 'wireless' ride at a reasonable price.

What I've found is the quality of sound coming from the wing audio is improved and background noise is better controlled.

If for no other reason than doing a good job of eliminating the wires and maintaining a high quality sound from the wing's audio sources..this is worth the investment
