Ck out what you want to charge
I bought this to charge my Blue Tooth while on the road but quickly found it was not filtered so I got the standard click click click over the speakers. Better option is to go to the trunk and rough a usb cable under the seat to the front pocket if you need it. Otherwise, just check out what you want to do with it. I phone will not charge off of this. |

Makes bike very visible
Not sure why they are just available now but I bought mine at Americade in April. I like them because they put out the light and people can see them. I am not much into glitter but I do like being seen. Can also be wired for breaks and turn signals. Anything to light up the back end. I also installed a brake blinker so these flash upon braking |

Read all reviews
My wife loved it but only after one 5,700 mile trip. We have no long term experience with it so cannot comment on chrome. Personally I like the Butler cup but my wife loved this one. |

Measure your wife or rider first
I thought my wife would love them but after a 5,700 mile trip, she never used them. She did say that if her legs were shorter she might have but these kept her knees too high and fee to high. Possible it might be good for a position change but I had to rely on her for that and she did not use them. |

Best rack out there
This is my second such rack. The first was on my 2006 and now this on my 2014. Not sure risers are needed but are nice to make it easy to clean and protects the paint from bungies because it holds it farther away. My last one held up great and I have as much confidence in this one as well. |

This is the Nuts Great Product Also Air Bag modification
I use the butler for two purposes. To be able to have a beverage available. In the morning I put in hot coffee. 3oz of French Vanilla and fill up with Coffee. Around noon or so, I fill it with ice and buy a couple of energy drinks. The ice costs nothing with the purchase. I fill the Butler and sip during my rides. Another important use of the cup is to make sure I get off the bike every 100 miles or so. If you are over 50 you know what I mean 10-100. I think it important to make sure you stretch your legs and being forced to stop at a rest stop for relief accomplishes that. I just upgraded to a 2014 Air Bag model. I checked with Butler and while they did indeed note that it will fit, they also reminded me that Honda also does not recommend any attachments to the handle bars due to the deployment of the air bag. Made sense not to put anything over the top of the air bag---Right?? However I still wanted to use it. I went to Alro Steel and bought some 3/8 plastic like Butler uses. I remade the bracket that mounts to the handlebar higher and a bit wider like 3x5". Then I mounted the cup holder on the back of the new mount vs the front like Baker does it. The result is that the cup and holding bracket is well in front of the handlebar and does not interfere with the windshield when turned to the right. I also made sure the new handlebar mount was wide enough (3") to stop a careless turn of the cup hinge to be over the air bag. the result is that I can use this on a Air Bag model and no part of the mount or cup (except in a tight left turn) is over the bag at any time. I feel pretty comfortable that it is safe. |

As good as the side wings
I have not experienced what Tom and others speak of with their opening and being loose. NO QUESTION that on previous models (I have had three other sets on different wings) once the air caught it, SLAM OPEN. My new wings however have a stop type clip that clips on the inside of the mirror and acts as a stop for the wings opening past the effective point. The wings are pretty much either open or closed but that gets back to Tom's review. When I want them, I want them open and the new stops (put these on at Americade two weeks ago)help a lot. I would contact Baker and get some of the stops. think of it as a small bumper on the mirror where the wing hits as a stop so that it does not over open. |

Still the best
I have had four wings and put Baker wings on all of them and for a very good reason. You need both side wings. The smaller lower to keep the heat from the engine off of you and the upper to open and drawn in air. Of course during the winter, I reverse which is open. The new ones I just got at Americade were the smoke Polycarbon. I have had my share of breaks or missing parts but Baker has always been fair and even more so in sending me replacement parts. They have not changed a lot over the years so parts are pretty interchangeable but Baker stands behind them all. I will go to the mirror wing section and report on them as well but for me, the mirror wings are just as important as the side wings. Jury still out on the lower wings mounting to the engine guard. I have not quite figured out what they really do and I am not a person to take things on and off the bike due to weather so I have not used yet |

Rust OK if you do not live in Florada or the Coast
I first purchased these in 06 for my wing. I have since replaced both for various reasons. The last was two years ago and they are now rusted to a point that I am ashamed of them. I called Kuryakyn and the most they offered was a discounted price that was higher than wingstuff. All these guys needs to do is to put on better chrome and at $250+ how tough can that be. All of my armrests have rusted. one to a point where it broke the arm. I cannot complain about the design and I get used to moving it to open the trunk but I would recommend against getting these if you live where salt can get to them or outside. Come on Kuryakyn, live up to your name. this has severely restricted what I buy from them anymore. I used to count on them but they go to China and have no quality control any more than anyone else I suspect. I would pay more for this if I knew the chrome was better |

I owned this for 5 years
I would recommend this cup holder. I ride a 06 wing and purchased this in 2007. In the morning I use it for coffee and sip it through the straw- Wonderful. Keeps coffee warm for a reasonable period of time like an hour or so. Once the day warms up, I switch to a cool drink. I like to go into gas stations, fill the cup with ice and buy a couple of gatoraids or the like. I fill up the cup and put the balance in my trunk for later. You learn to put the straw down into the ice carefully but not a big deal. Now this keeps things cool, especially with the ice in there. Is it too large? I have never had an issue with the cup mounted on the left handlebar. I have an onboard gps so it does not conflict with that and I have yet to find a good tank bag so I ride without one. you need to consider the swing of the handle bar or the space this takes if you have a tank bag or handlebar mounted gps but usually the gps is on the right. |

Kuryakyn offers to replace at $239--Big Deal
To Kuryakyn's credit, they called me back to see what it would take to right this. The offer was $239 plus shipping which is higher than Wing Stuff is selling them for when you figure in the free shipping. No question I should have called earlier but the history on this site with rust says it all. The 4.5 rating is very very misleading as it reflects new buyers love of the look and high expectations. Read on and read reviews of folks that have had them. OEM chrome does not do this, only inexpensive chrome. Only suggestion is to call them at the first sig of rusting, |

Rust Rust Rust. Did I say Rust??
I purchased my first set in 2008 and they lasted a few years before the spring started to stick and the rust started to pit. About 2 years ago I had to replace one and within 18 months all the chrome on the curved bar was gone, having flaked off. The rest of it is pitting badly and flacking off. Neither arm rest return spring works anymore. For having their name on it, they imply a level of quality that is not here. Obviously they get these made in a 3rd world country with no quality control. I have lost faith in you and not sure I can rely on you or your products any further. |
