Ordered both these and the mirror wings for my 09. Received and installed the day before 1200 mile trip. Instructions are good. Yes, there is drilling required on these thru the moulding to reach the mounting points. Good templates and drill bit is included (nice touch). They work very well for keeping wind off lower leg area, especially psgr. Order the mirror (hand) wings with these for best wind control. They make a huge difference!! |

Ordered these and the lower wings at the same time but these were back ordered. Installed lowers and left for 1200 mile ride. Cold tops of hands (heated grips)the whole trip and with driver and psgr shoulder wind buffeting. When these arrived, had my son FEDEX them to me in PHX for the return trip. HUGE difference. Eliminated most of wind buffeting around shoulders for both of us. These work fabulous with the lower wings. Must have. Easy 10 min install on factory mirrors (Remove screw from bottom of mirror and replace with supplied screw/mounting bracket. Didn't even need the heated grips most of the way back! Had these on my 94 and they worked well on it as well. Just check for tightness periodically when vents are out. When in they don't seem to loosen. Loctite on the threads help as well.. |
Luggage Rack Risers for GL1800

Works very well. Allows for easy cleaning under trunk rack. No problem with holes, but did have a slight problem with diameter of one of the legs of the Kuryakyn rack would not fit into the hole atop the riser. A little grinding down of the the post and everything works fine. (It wasn't the risers fault, it was the post on the rack). Since the risers have a larger footprint, it handles weight better without a chance of cracking the trunk. |

Wife says it's the best thing added to the bike. She's 5'10" and ability to move leg/foot positions allows her to ride longer without fatigue. Installed on 09 Wing with little effort. Hardest part was removing the ball and spring off the original boards (as stated they should be included)and installing on new boards. Also had to stretch springs a bit to keep boards up. Cannot raise foot peg while riding, must raise before starting out. Well made. |
