I seem to be in the minority about ease of installation. The angle of the L-shaped mounting bracket did not match the angle of the backrest and side-pocket. It made it harder to align to mark for the holes. This was on a 2002 Goldwing. I remeasured multiple times then drilled the 1/2" holes. I also had a problem getting the passenger backrest back on. There is a gap at the top, and the supplied foam tube wasn't great at filling it. Also, I couldn't get the passenger backrest pulled down enough to completely get the stock two lower threaded mounts aligned in the center of the holes which lead into the trunk area. The docs say there is a 15lb limit to the armrests--meaning the passenger shoul not lean on them to adjust their seating position. Lastly, there is a lot of side to side motion after mounting. YMMV.

Universal Motorcycle Fuse Block
ITEM CODE: FBFZ1,   SKU: FBFZ1

I installed this in the GL1800's trunk where the CB/CD would go. It needs 12v +/- from the battery and a wire from a switched circuit, like the aux screw on the existing fuse panel under the left sidecover.

I wired my GPS (2820 w/o battery) to this and positioned the fuse in the always-on position. I did the same for my Battery Tender whose cord has a 7.5 amp fuse.

My Gerbings will draw too much power and I will wire them directly to the battery.

Nice that this has a built-in relay. Very clean install.
