Turn Signal Conversion Harness for GL1800
ITEM CODE: BB52766,   SKU: BB52766

05.05.2010
Am revising my rating from 4 stars down to 1 star due to failure somewhere within the harness such that I lost the brake light function of the lights in the trunk. The turn signal function continued to work. Obtained a replacement harness and swapped out all common parts of the harness as the brake light loss affect both sides of the trunk. There was no change ... turn signals yes, brake lights no.

Have removed the harness completely, putting the trunk lights back to their original function (running lights and brake lights). Have returned both harnesses to Wingstuff and will operate with original OEM lighting on the trunk.

Passenger Armrests for GL1800
ITEM CODE: BB52677A,   SKU: BB52677A

I installed theseacouple of weeks ago. My rear passenger loves them.

The only difficulty with my installation came when I attached the cushions to the swing arms. I recommend starting (and then removing) the screws in the cushions before attaching the cushions to the swing arms.

Turn Signal Conversion Harness for GL1800
ITEM CODE: BB52766,   SKU: BB52766

04.11.2010
Installed this harness a couple of weeks ago. This product performs well and I've achieved my objective of substantially improving the visual impact of the turn signals when viewed from behind.

The instructions are reasonably clear and none of the steps are too challenging. However, some guidance re. what to do with the excess wire and the connections at the rear of the bike would be helpful. The lack thereof causes my taking away 1 star in the rating.

I have two observations regarding the excess wires and connections in the rear. First, the black connectors on the wiring that you will attach to the trunk lights don't fit into the light compartment itself, so don't bother snaking them up there. Second, the relay box and excess wire in the harness need to be affixed to the framing down as low as possible underneath the plastic body part where the license plate is mounted. There is not any excess space available between the upper section of this body part and the frame.

Ergo II Highway Pegs for GL1800 Gold Wing
ITEM CODE: KU4056,   SKU: KU4056

08.03.2009
Put a set on today with the standard 6" swing arms. Find them quite comfortable to use as they permit a different body position (butt, hips, lower back, as well as legs)!

As has happened before, I have a couple of bones to pick, however.

1. The kit comes with instructions that include a parts list as well as various subassemblies and a hardware bag. The subassemblies already use several of the pieces of hardware that are called out on the parts list, so "faith" is required that you have all of the necessary parts

2. The parts list does not contain any pictures of the various parts, so for non-engineers like me, identifying the hardware parts to the parts list and assembly instructions is not an easy task

3. The hardware includes two 1/2 inch internal tooth lock washers. The instructions don't call for these to be used. I used them behind the heads of the bolts that attach the peg to the swing arm

Otherwise, all is well and I'm off to more comfortable riding!

ITEM: BB52693

Product generally performs as advertised. After a 100 mile ride, my passenger feels that adding the risers has been a good decision. Adjustability is reasonable, although may require removing the risers from the bike to put the footboards into the lower positions.

Another plus is that the risers do not need to be removed from the bike when removing the bike's body parts (battery and fuse box cover, etc.) that they're mounted in front of, as long as you're careful.

Installation issues cause the less than top rating. You MUST have a 13mm SOCKET ... an open- or closed- end wrench won't do. The washers are slightly larger than the space where they go on the footboards and, rather than torque down on a washer that didn't fit, I used some other washers that I fortunately had. The 5mm allen wrench must not have a shaft that's much longer than 3/8" on the short side or else you'll be removing the risers from the bike to install and/or change the position of the footboards.

Appearance of the product shipped does not match the product picture. The risers that I received resemble the Kuryakin risers ... parallelogram shape rather than rectangular ... slots are angled rather than vertical.
