A buzz sort of vibration in the handlebars

On the first few rides I felt a buzzy vibration in the handlebars. I was worried it was the engine but the buzz did not follow engine revs but did follow the wheel speed. So, I took them off the front to test it and sure enough, the centramatics caused a buzzy vibration in the handlebars. At highway speed (over 50) they were smooth, but in traffic and around town and at low cruising speeds they were MISERABLE !! I am not using them since I ride my bike as primary transportation and that means a lot of low speed riding.
