About:

I started riding when I was 13 years old. It was only a Honda 50 but it hooked me for life. That was 51 years ago. I've taken a couple short sabaticles but keep coming back for the ride.

Avon Cobra Chrome Radial Tires for GL1800
ITEM CODE: PG23038

11.05.2011
I bought the Cobras 2 years ago. I just installed a new set of Cobras after 12500 miles. I am very happy with the tires. The was no cupping on the front or rear tires as there was with the previous different brand tires. I purchased the 60 series tire instead of the 70s as per my last review. I'm happy about the ride height and the tire clearance when on the center stand. This is my second set and I'm pretty sure it won't be my last.

Avon Cobra Chrome Radial Tires for GL1800
ITEM CODE: PG23038

I haven't had the chance to put many miles on the new Avon Cobras yet. So far I do like the feel and the quietness. My main reason for this review is to mention something that I am experiencing. I had the 70 series installed on the rear mainly to correct the speedo. The tire does that. A couple things it also does that no one mentioned in their review is it makes my bike noticibly harder to pick up off the side stand and I can't turn the rear tire when on the center stand. I have to be careful when parking to make sure the bike doesn't flop over. First time I rode after tire installation I went to the gas station. When I got ready to ride off the bike was leaning so noticably I got back off to see if I had a flat. Tires are great so far but I will not put the 70 series back on when replacement time comes.
