About:

I always wanted a Goldwing since 1984, way back in high school. I finally got my motorcycle license in 2005. This is my first bike. Some people thought I was crazy but I wanted a Wing, so I got one and am loving every minute of it. I kick myself for not doing it sooner.

I bought this because I liked the modular features and I’m due for a new helmet. I wear a 2XL now and my 3XL is loose. I did the size chart for this and came up on the high end of 2XL, so I decided to go with the 3XL. It’s actually more like an XL. I can’t get it past my ears, and when I did manage to squeeze into it, the face plate pressed against my chin when closed. I like what it does if I could fit inside it, but no. Unless I got a bad one (the tag inside says XXXL), they run small, so beware. I’ll give it a 3 rating because it’s pretty cool even though I can’t use it.

Chrome Luggage Rack for GL1800 Gold Wing
ITEM CODE: BB52-610,   SKU: BB52-610

This is a really nice looking rack on the bike. I did manage to get up the nerve to drill into the trunk simce I'm not too mechanically inclined, but I just followed the directions that came with it and the installation was pretty simple. You just need to watch the angle you drill or the holes in the outer and inner trunk won't line up right with the rack legs. This happened with one of my holes but I just enlargened the inner trunk hole and it lined up just fine. I also had the personal issue of dropping the 4mm allen wrench down between the seat and the trunk but a simple towel draped across there (after the 3rd time) prevented any further fishing for the allen wrench.

This is a great pouch. I primarily us it to hold my kickstand disk which is too big for storing anywhere else other than the trunk. Too many times I've been parked on gravel or soft black top and pull the disk out with no place to put it without setting the bike back down hoping it won't fall over while I open the trunk. But not anymore with this pouch. These are all about convenience anyway and this one sure is for me. It doesn't interfere with gassing up.

Beverage Butler Motorcycle Drink Holder
ITEM CODE: PG02084

I bought the 20oz. size and used it on a recent weekend trip. Installation was simple. When in the holder I turn the handle toward the bracket just in case I hit a bump the cup won't jump right out, not that it will, it's a pretty snug grip especially when full.

Ergo II Highway Pegs for GL1800 Gold Wing
ITEM CODE: KU4056,   SKU: KU4056

I rode a trip 770 miles round trip with these and had a tough time getting comfortable because of the side fairing. I ended up using one side at a time and switching legs every so often. When I got back I ordered the shorter arms and they make a world of difference.

Replacement Windshields for GL1800
ITEM CODE: PG03576

07.03.2007
This whindshield is a very nice upgrade. The installation isn't too bad if you take your time and do it step by step. I'm not very mechanically inclined and I did it in about twenty minutes with the right tools. To me the hardest part was getting the rubber boots back on the mirrors. This windshield looks great and is clearer than the stock windshield plus the extra couple inches helps.

These look great on my 2005 (blue). It was a simple install only taking a few minutes each side. These are pretty sturdy. My one piece of advice is to watch out when snapping the fairing back into place, the fairing piece's "feet" can break pretty easily if you're not careful. That warning is also in the instructions so you just have to be gentle with it.
