Head light trim disaster
| I purchased the trim pieces that require that require disassembly of the bike. Do Not Purchase these if you intend on installing them yourself. Having them professionally installed is option but that will cost you a fortune. The entire front end must be taken apart. Including removing headlight assembly after removing entire front end. You have to disconnect all lights and some other items. Also have to deal with the switch in left side panel. Not an easy task. I did get it all done and all the lights work. The chrome pieces do look good. Problem I had is after putting it all back together all the lights worked but the bike would not start. Had to bring it to the dealer because something went wrong with the fuel injection system. Either unplugged something or damaged a wire is prognosis from shop. They are still working on it. This will cost me a bunch. I would recommend the new pieces that go over the top with two sided tape. They are cheaper and will most likely look just as good. |
