Takes some drilling but it is beeter for a rock to hit the plastic then break the fog light |
You have to get this one - fantastic value! |
My experience is like many of these: the adhesive was junk and the rubber keeps coming out of the housing. I used these for 1500 miles and had to work the rubber back into the housing on about every stop. I am very disappointed that Kuryakyn turned out a product like this. |
Looks fantastic. Very easy to install. |
Easy install. Works pretty good. Honda needs to use industry standard connectors on the CB and antenna. This antenna and the Honda Line CB will be hard to measure the and VSWR (Voltage Standing Wave Ratio) because it doesn't use PL-259 connectors. |
Wow! This was a job I wish I had paid someone else to do. The CB went in pretty easily but boy your sure have to take a lot off to get it in. Only thing I didn’t like on the CB was the non-standard antenna connectors. Most CB and VSWR (Voltage Standing Wave Ratio) meter use PL-259 connectors. To use a VSWR meter on this one you are going to have to make some adapters most likely. Got it all back together and everything works. |
What a nice piece, looks great, install was a breeze, love the special no spill/no splash lid. Great piece for the money. |
Nice piece, adds a nice touch/sparkle. Just a suggestion when removing and reinstalling the spring, I used a nylon wire tie inserted it at the spring adjacent to the hook on the kickstand, looped and used that as a pull ring to extend the spring over the hook. Did the same when I reinstalled the spring and then snipped the wire tie. Very easy install. |
Nice accessory, quality is excellent; passenger says they’re extremely comfortable. What more can you say. Installation was easy; having to use the three parts from the old boards just made the install that much more satisfying when the job was done and the opening and closing worked perfect. |
I'm with Carson on this. Also, the color doesn't match the dark blue 2007. Looks like a "Pep Boys" add on rather than custom. I'll send them out to get painted to match eventually. Maybe ColorMatch should look at providing these in a matched color |
Get yourself a 1 1/2" plastic spatula for removal of the left and right fairing molding. You'll need it for other work requiring their removal. (avoids scratches with a screw driver. If you are going to install both upper and lower sets, it's a little easier to install them both at the same time. Both are easy installs but, there is no torque setting provided. Topkelley...could you provide us with a suggested torque setting since you recognize the importance. Color does not match the 2007 Dark Blue. As it is, it looks like a "Pep Boys" add on rather than something custom. I'll eventually send them out to be painted to match. Maybe "ColorMatch" should look at providing these in the right color |
Quick and simple addition that really looks great. Nice little bit of detailing. |
