| I INSTALLED THESE IN ABOUT 15 MINUTES. REALLY NICE ON A LONG RIDE. ALSO WITH THE ARM RESTS AND THE BACK SUPPORT MY WIFE IS LOCKED IN AND FEELS SO SECURE THAT SEVERAL TIMES SHE HAS ACTUALLY FALLEN ASLEEP ON THE HIGHWAY. I KNOW SHE IS SLEEPING WHEN HER HELMET BUMPS THE BACK OF MINE WHEN I SLOW FOR A TOWN. |
| MY WIFE LOVES THEM. THEY WERE NOT HARD TO INSTALL. THE BRACKETS IN THE SIDE POCKETS WERE KIND OF DIFFICULT TO POSITION AND DRILL THE HOLES FOR THE SIDE THAT DOSN'T HAVE THE ANTENNA .AFTER A YEAR THE CUP HOLDER BECOME LOOSE. YOU HAVE TO TAKE THE 4 ALLEN HEAD SCREW OFF. THE THE PAD SLIDES TO THE REAR OF THE BASE AND PULLS OUT THRU A SLOT SORT OF LIKE THE OLD DOOR CHAIN ON A HOUSE DOOR. LIKE A KEY HOLE SLOT. AFTER YOU TIGHTEN IT BACK THE STUB FOR THAT SLOT ACTS AS A SECOND LOCK NUT TO SECURE THE FIRST. |
| Okay, now that I have had the windscreen for 5 weeks, I need to revamp my review. From day one, I've have a blotchy blue and red rainbow across the whole windshield. It isn't much visible from the rider's side, and I thought it might come off, but it doesn't. I have used Novus, Plexus, just soapy water, Honda cleaner, and yes, even Pledge on it, and each one leaves a nasty opaque smear across the windscreen (seen when the sun is in your face) no matter how much I buff it out with a clean cloth. I've had to stop several times to `breathe' on the w/s and try to clean it off. What DOES work is an ammonia free cleaner I got from a glass shop, but it reduces the slick feeling of the windscreen, and more bugs stick. I didn't have the same issue with the stock windshield. Honda cleaner or Plexis worked nice and CLEAN on the road, so I wonder if it's the added no-scratch layer that does all this. What I am impressed with, is no matter how much buffing I do, no scratches. And not having the black band on the lower half does give me more visibilty to what's right in front of me. It just doesn't seem to even out the cost or the irritation of having to go to great lengths to make the damn thing see-through. I'm glad I didn't chuck my OEM windscreen though. If I get pissed off enough, I'll put that back on. A few minor scratches are an even trade off to ease of visibility. In 20/20 hindsight, I might have passed on this until the price came down. A lot. |
| Nice piece. Looks great. Adds a nice subdued look to the naked center of the rear end. I do wish Kury would get a bit more realistic with their pricing. Seems like they're trying to buy an island or something. |

| I like it. The velcro one slips on the stock grips, this one stays right where I put it. Great for old hands like mine. |
| They really make the back of the bike look nice. A piece of cake to install, even for 10 thumbs like me. |
| They look great and are easier than easy to install, but way too expensive for 2 pieces of plastic. Add the BB52619 passenger board lights to give them a nice accent. |

Had "boards" on my 81 and loved them. Was told I might not like them on the 01 due to the change in the foot position, and to find someone with boards on their bike and try the position before buying. I would tell you (yes you) to do the same thing. I can see where folks might have trouble getting their feet on the ground. Try em before you buy. |
| There are other spoilers on the market, but this little guy fits right and looks right. You spend more, but you get the best. |
