I already had the rotor cover with the amber light set and then I added the "Ring of Fire" to the outside of the rotor cover. I now have amber, orange, red and blue lights on the front wheel and it has an awesome effect and looks great. I get a lot of compliments.

Cheap insurance for protecting those costly driving lights. Don't ask me how I know! There is some drilling involved to mount these covers, so take your time and use many smaller drill bits to evenly get to the size required, which if I recall was 15/32, to use the rubber grommet type fasteners. As one of the other reviewers stated, it would have been nice to have gotten "chrome" mounting bolts, particularly if your lower front cowl is chrome. These are stainless steel, I believe, which is the next best bolt to use for this application.

Chrome Lower Front Cowl for GL1800
ITEM CODE: BB52608,   SKU: BB52608

My OEM front lower cowl was getting to look a bit tacky due to numerous small rock chips around my driving lights. I debated going with Kuryakyn's lower front chrome covers that fit around the driving lights to hide these, but opted going with a full new chrome front instead. I'm glad I did, as it goes nicely with the chrome timing cover that I added some while back, plus as an added bonus, I saved $20, as compared to what Kurkakyn wanted for their covers. I also opted installing the Hondaline driving light protective covers to protect those costly EC driving lights. Don't ask me how I know! As all GL-1800 owners know who have replaced their lower front cowl, it's not the easiest thing to do, getting every thing to line back up. Plus having to dremel out the driving light knock-outs and reinstalling my EC spring loaded driving light
mounts was a bit of a hassel. But once done, it was worth the hassles and my efforts. My '02 has gotten itself a new "facelift". It's happy and so am I.

I put this on just for looks, but if you do buy one, spend the few extra $$ and get the risers - you just can NOT get your hands under it for cleaning without them

same as most of you, having problems with the rubber coming out all the time, the tape does suck, but I managed to make it work somewhat, at least to the point the grips don't twist on the bars by covering the grips with a paper towel, then wrapping electric tape very tightly over the whole grip to keep pressure on it all night, and that stopped the slippage I was having upon installation. Also, I do like the size, but I have huge hands, but I do feel like I lost an awful lot of the heat he factory grips had - for me, at least, it doesn't really feel like it gets warm anymore, at least nothing like it used to
