| Installed mine on my 06 in May before Wing Ding. A must for riding in a group. Kind of expensive but fit perfect. I did not remove the trunk to install. You can drill a pilot hole and use a electrical knockout punch to get the perfect size hole for the wiring harness. Took about three hours to install. Easy plug and play connections. |
| GOOD LOOKING ADDITION TO MY BIKE AND A MUST FOR LONG DISTANCE TRAVEL. SO FAR IT IS HOLDING UP WELL. HAD NO PROBLEMS WITH INSTALLATION AND INSTRUCTIONS ARE EASY TO FOLLOW. JUST TAKE YOUR TIME WITH ALIGNMENT AND BE CAREFUL DRILLING. IT WILL LOOK LIKE IT WAS FACTORY INSTALLED! |
| Purchased hitch last spring and installed on on my 06. Pulled a trailer from Cleve., OH to Billings, MT and back. (5,200 miles total). No problem at all! Installation was fairly easy but pictures on instructions are worthless. I like the hidden hitch idea. Mine fit perfect though I had to pry here & there to align bolt holes. Good product at a good price but I would pay a couple bucks more for better installation instructions. |
| Looks good fits good brings out the color on my metalic red wing great product |
| The look is great BUT, the teeth use to adjust the position is a little weak, and can be broken if you ride at speeds above 80mph often. So needless to say the one I have is broken. I'm not sure if I will buy another one or not. |

See the install video and detailed instructions here: https://www.goldwingfacts.com/1800Utopiabackrest.htm This backrest looks almost factory OEM. Installation was easy, but it was a little nerve racking cutting a hole in my seat. It felt awkward at first. It took me a few hundred miles before I started forgetting it was there. However, I can say that I used to have back and shoulder and neck pain after a few hours riding before. Now I can ride all day and not feel any strain in the back, neck, or shoulders. |
| Nice quality product. Allows the whole plate to be read, unlike some other manufacturers frames. Get the reflective wing nuts at the same time. |

These were already on the bike when we bought it & @ 5'10" they work great, very comfortable, easy to adjust. They are several years old & still look like new. A very solid & heavy duty product. |

Very easy to install, perfect fitting, beautiful chrome, look great. This is a wonderful CP addition. |
| P.S. Nope, sorry...can't get the rubber portion of the grips off the Hondaline grips to get them painted to match the bike (see my previous review) I'll keep watching the website to see if somebody comes up with something for a color match for the comfort package. As usual, will let you know. |
| Need a bit more storage space for stuff? This will do it. Large enough inside to store a small first aid kit. Well made hard leather with a quality zipper. Made to fit over the left fairing pocket door and won't interfere with access to the left fairing pocket. Clips on so you can take it with you. Re-attaches easily. Waterproof? Seems to be. Maybe someone else can review that issue. If not, I'll include a P.S. later. |
| P.S. You'll have to notch out the fairing molding at where they attach to get them to fit right. No problem! You can do it! Just take your time. On a recent trip I dealt with 60 mph cross winds for awhile. They sure can help with the buffeting in conjustion with the lower set. The adjustments certainly aid in stability. |
