Exactly what I needed to keep the top half of my GL1200 Aspencade clean and dry. I never liked the hassle of putting on a full cover but this is quick and easy. I was worried that it might not go over my tall windscreen, but no problem. Great choice.
I had a set of Show Chrome on teh wing when I bought it. I could never get use to them. I purchased these on several referals, and have been beyond pleased. There was just one hitch in installign them around the shifter pushing. It was binding; biut after a effort, all was OK.

I wanted to add my two cents worth about this great product, including the considerable help provided by another WingStuff.com customer (smile)... Aside from being a great product, I found out that the hitch provided another valuable service -- completely unintended, I'm certain, from the manufacturer! Nor would I recommend this to other Wing riders! This product provided invaluable assistance in minimizing damage to my scoot when a rider -- in formation behind me -- broke traction on his H-D in the process of stopping behind me at a signal. The fact that his Harley impacted where it did meant the frame of the hitch absorbed most of the energy, limiting the principal collision damage to the fender and saddlebag tabs... and a slight tweak to the hitch mount. Recommend that you don't try this (smile) with this hitch, but, it did cause some chagrin to a number of H-D riders when only the Wing was able to be ridden-away! Great product! |
...Wish they would offer it in black. I am an anti-chromer
Just added these with the Kuryakyn grips. Much more comfortable on those longer rides to relax your hand. Put one on the left side too to make everything balanced. Very comfortableand looks fantastic. Wish I put these on two years ago.
Lower stars simply for delay in shipping. These were ordered 8/26/08. Just received shipment 12/10/08. So much for being available back in Oct. Have not completely unpacked them yet but they look like nice. The bulbs look fairly clear which I would prefer in the 'off' position. All pieces feel solid. The saddlebag set will require drilling 4 holes total. The trunk set needs no holes. No info in the directions on how to wire them to act as turn signals too - any suggestions? The "Additional Product Info" statement appears to have been cut off before explaining what is necessary. Could be awhile before I install these. Look good in the package - hope they look as good installed. FYI Instuctions for easy trim piece removal can be found at https://www.winglites.com/trim_removal_tip.htm
very nice product good looking

This is intended for antenna mount, so the sleeve is too large for conventional flag poles. Thin cotton doesn't look very durable. I prefer other flags (i.e. TR048697). |
Looks great, but fit/finish isn't what I am used to from Kuryakyn products. The LH side is VERY tight when the detent plate is installed, and the RH Side shaft doesn't fit completely into the recess in the base.
Mine was stilling running fine with the original set at over 20k. But at Wingstuff prices, and do-it-yourself labor, it is a great way to spend a winter evening hour or so.
Very handy item. Use it for charging my cell phone, camera batteries and air pump. Easily installed within minutes. Put mine inside the left compartment.
