As others have said, rather ill fitting(at least on an '07)Had to elongate the four holes on the H frame for a decent fit. I used the downloaded instructions and found that it is not necessary to drop the mufflers. Because of the terrible fit and all the prying, one of the plastic tabs on the back body panel broke off.(O Well)The hitch is very solid-and by way, if you buy the Add On Mud Flap you must mount the H frame member with the adjusting bolt facing the rear of the bike.
Chrome. Every little bit only makes the bike look better. Easy to installed.
Looks great on bike. Wife is on the short side, so the flip-up pegs worked wonderfully, even after a year of good use. Subtracted 1 star do to having to use some parts from oringal pegboard. That didn't make much since, at least to me. Overall, very statified. Easy to install.
Purchased these a year ago. Held up to some pretty heavy use, however, cotter pin sheared off. It has pretty easy to replace. Underside of armrest rust pretty fast. However, still gave 4 star because of its performance, extreme confort for passenger, and look great on my Goldwing GL-1800 Pearl White. Would think of changing it out for anything else. Definately a Keeper.
Four Stars simply because of having to use parts from the original boards. At this price, they should come complete. On the up side - They look great on the bike, and function very well.
If you do your owen Maintence, Consider replacing your air filter at the same time. But you better have a manual. Should have got this befor our last three rides of 3000+ miles. Knowing what is going on in a group is the safest way to go.
This definitely rates as one of the most ill fitting things I have ever encountered. It is not a straight forward install. If you are not mechanically inclined, you will need to find someone who is. And even they will have to pull a trick or two out of their bag! All in all, it's a good buy.
Such a great idea but so horribly implemented. When I plugged in my earbuds it nearly blasted my eardrums out! I turned down the volume to zero for a low, but distorted listening level. On level one, it's loud and distorted. Forget about any level above that. This thing is totally unusable as a headset adaptor. I opened it up to see if there was a short circuit or missing load matching resistor, but the whole thing was filled with plastic resin.
Light weight - my main reason for selecting this rack. It sits a little higher than I would like, even with the spoiler. Cannot beat the price and light weight

Very nice rack for your trunk. Took me about 2 hours. Measured 3 times drilled once. First thing to do is throw away the screws and buy some that are twice as long. It makes it alot EZ to aling the holes. You have more wingle room. Great product. I would buy again. Plus it looks good. Alot of room to clean under. |
I'm not going to go over what has already been said, price, install etc. I will mention one point I haven't seen yet, that's when I installed the cb, I got an error msg. CB ERROR. what the??? checked all connections still the msg. Called the local Honda dealer, There response was DUH, when they got that msg they returned the unit as faulty. ENTER Cameron at wingstuff, he did some research for me, Problem fixed. Just remove the negative terminal for about two minutes Hook back up and try. It worked. THANKS Cameron.
Expected trouble after reading the other comments, but was pleasantly surprised when the old ones came off and the new ones went on without a hitch. No problem with cotter pins (I used the ones off the old floorboards - not the screwy ones that came with these) or with the detent (it's bent under at the bottom so it only goes on one way) or with the ball bearing and spring. After hunting up an 8mm allen wrench, the whole thing was done in 10 minutes. Wife loves 'em.
