The Panel fits and looks great. Like the Radio Panel and the right hand Control Panel, this Panel too needs to be dry fitted and gently molded to insure a perfect fit. Highly recommend these three pieces for the dash. Receive many positive comments about how nice they look. Excellant Quality.
Another beautiful piece by Show Chrome. This piece also needs to be dry fitted and gently molded for a perfect fit. Take your time until you have it right. Practice installing before removing tape that will help you in obtaining the correct placement.
Bought a set of these babies last summer. Right now i have a little over 5K miles on them. Still look new. These things stick to the road like glue. Quite on all surfaces. I was worried about the rain...but these things hardly know its wet. IF i get 20K on these things hey ... i am sold forever..... a for right now .. i would buy them again. Good luck and keep the shinny side up .
The Chrome Radio Panel allows your eye to start seeing the detail in the fairing dash area. An awesome solid piece that you certainly will be pleased with. You will not be totally satisfied until you add the R/H & L/H Accessory panels to match. Great Quality. As stated before be sure to dry fit and gently mold piece to fit perfect.

After a 3,800 mile trip , I can say this is well worth the money.Used Steve Saunder's Goldwing page video to checkout how to do the install.Fairly easy to do. Took me about 30 minutes.
Got mine a few weeks ago. I also purchased the Rivco waterproof bag and locking dowel rods to secure the bag to the rack. Picked up a couple of luggage cable locks that work in place of the pins. Had to drill the holes a little larger where the pins use to go but now I can lock the Rack to the receiver. Today I picked up a cooler from Walmart that fits perfectly on the rack and does not block the plate. I find that I ride with the rack on most of the time now. Either I carry the cooler for cold drinks on day runs or with the luggage bag for weekend trips. Gives you that extra space to carry all your gear so you don't have to try cramming it all in your other compartments.

Very nice bag, bought it at the same time I got the rack. The mounting is pretty solid with the velcro and I definately feel comfortable that it will hold up in rain or wind. As noted previously, don't overload this bag or you risk damage to your trunk lid.

My order was originally placed on 5/3/09 and it took two weeks to get the package in the mail. According to wingstuff the OEM of the rack was the cause for delay. To their credit once they got it from the OEM it was in my hands two days later. Now for the review. First, there are absolutely no instructions with the rack when you receive it. No big deal, but be ***warned***, measure two...three...and even four times before drilling into your wing (would be nice if a template came with the rack). The rack is solid and the chrome does not look cheap at all. ***PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO BUY LONGER HARDWARE BEFORE PROCEEDING WITH THE INSTALLATION*** I personally opted for 6mm x 25 screws, which provided plenty of length and really go far enough into the rack to provide a solid base. I would have given this 5 stars if not for the delivery delay. By the way...do yourself a favor and also pick up the rack bag. Fits like a glove and look good. |
