Zero stars if I could. They look great, but after time the chrome has peeled and I mean peeled really bad. Kury has had a big problem with this.

Just put these on the trunk this past weekend. Cut out the template, overlaid on the trunk as instructed, drilled smaller hole first (1/16") then drilled larger hole to make sure they were in a single wall thickness - and sure enough the template was right on! Spit does works best with a strong steady pull with needle nose pliers from below and firm pressure from above. Trunk lid is a bit hard to close, but should adjust over time. No more rubbing. This should be a standard feature from Honda.

Kuryakyn Chrome Floorboards w/Heel Shifter
ITEM CODE: KU4038,   SKU: KU4038

Okay, I have had these on for a few months now. Good to go, look good. I had the sticking problem as mentioned. Just added small amount of wheel bearing grease and the sticking goes away. Best to use the stock ridgeid plastice piece made to cover shifter. I had a transmission problem (prior to the floorboards) took it in for extended warranty. The bike has 62,000 miles. The first thing they asked, does it have floorboards? Honda will void the transmission warranty. They MASTER Honda tech says 11 of 12 trannies he has done had floorboards. I did not ask if they were all Kuryakyn. I had the floorboards, just thankfully did not install them yet. If you have warranty issues, take them off before visit to dealer! He said okay to ride with them, just make solid shifts, and do not rest heel on shifter. Also do not shift lazy. The gear cogs will partially engage, wearing the tips of the cogs. The tranny will start partially engagging, then pop into gear when you throttle up. Real expensive if not warranty. Use em, enjoy em, but beware!

Centramatic Stainless Wheel Balancers for GL1800

I had these installed by WingStuff and what a difference! The ride is much smoother and the vibration (although slight) that I felt through the right handlebar has all but disappeared.

My front tire was (prior to the install) showing some uneven wear, but the more I ride, the more that seems to be correcting itself. I spoke to Geoff, the Centramatic rep, prior to the installation and was told these can help correct wear issues. The man knows his business. After putting about 800 miles on the bike Charlie (in service at WingStuff) even noticed the tire looks like it's correcting.

As ekurtike mentioned, watch your speed. After leaving WingStuff and getting on the freeway I was frustrated that traffic was moving so slowly. I looked down and saw I was doing 85. Now that's smooth.

I know of one person who put on new tires and the Centramatics and now has 13k on the tires. Yup. The rear too. Tires are still in good shape.

If you're on the fence, jump off and get a set. Expensive? A bit. But these are without doubt one of the best investments I've made. Or, you can go over to the GWRRA tech board, ask the question, and listen to all the old codgers, who have never used them, tell you they don't work and how they've been riding since 19 diggity three and only use rocks and spit to balance they're tires.

I'll take the Centramatics.

WOW !! What a diff these make very nice and not as hard as it seams 2 install here is a little trick when u put the bottom bracket on the hole closest 2 the bike is where the bracket on the cover bolts on if u take out the 3 small screws and mount the bracket finger tight then put all the rest 2gether then put the 3 screws n from the bottom it is so much faster and easier 2 install and as far as the bolt short bolts go where the finder bolts on long bolts go through the cover there is 2 on each side Just take ur time and u will have no problem holes will line up as long as u dont tighten the bolts till everything is n place Hope this helps

Back rest is great. I did however run into an issue with my Honda warranty. When my heated seat stopped working it was determined to be a wiring issue and had nothing to do with the installed backrest. But because the seat had been modified Honda refused to warranty the seat. Tough lesson learned.

Love these. I will have to reinstall it again I just noticed the screws have worked there way out from the vibration of the trunk lid. I will put lock nut on them and I have also installed the rubber groments for the trunk hope that stops some of the vibration. Still 5 stars to me awesome.

I installed them after Xmas it was a little cold hard to install. the paper layout that you lay out for the holes to be drilled was off so make sure you can reach them from underneath. If you put them where theres a dubble wall they will be hard to get to from the bottem to pull them threw. Lost one already I do beleave they are about 1/4 to tall. The back ones are slanted over now. as long as my latch dosen't get damaged its cool.

I've actually never written a review before but on these,I felt compelled. To start with, this is a fine produst as far as looks and quality; however you should think twice before purchasing.I had been riding a cruizer with floorboards for the last nine years so the feel of pegs was not what I wanted so I immediately bought the floorboards. Well the Goldwing (for my size) just isn't designed for floorboards. The mounts are too far back to stretch your legs out (the engine of course causes this) and it really puts your foot at an odd angle to heel shift. Also even though my shoe is only a 10&1/2 there is insufficient room for my foot between the toe and heel shifter. It takes some getting use to to easily find room for your toe between the brake and the valve cover and if vertically challenged (30 in. inseam) it is difficult to get your feet flat on the ground with the floorboars down. After all that, would I buy them again? Not without trying a lot of other things first. I'm not recommending that you don't buy these, I'm just suggesting that you "Try Em before you Buy Em" or think long and hard. A lot of money for us poor boys. By the way, I haven't taken mine off.
