Installed this in about 1 hour with out the right tools. It was not that difficult. I did not have a perfect fit though with the socket hitting the frame or something and I mounted it where the + was. It took a little time to coax the socket into the right position but it did go in finally. The accessory looks of high quality but I have not tried it yet as I have no jack for the phone yet.

Hopefully RNA got his issues resolved. I'd never heard of the Sena Bluetooth headsets until I noticed an advertisement on Goldwing Owners Forum. I clicked on the link which took me to the Sena website which had several instructional videos about pairing the headset with other headsets, and other assorted bluetooth (and wired) accessories. I was impressed with many features of the product so I began searching for product reviews, which were all positive. I've been considering blutooth headsets for my wife and I but was unsure of which one to buy. After reading the reviews and watching the videos, I decided to try the Sena. Because I often wear earbuds with my MP3 player to block out wind noise, I ordered a pair of the helmet clamp kits for earbuds (P/N SMH-A0303) from another vendor because I didn't see them on Wingstuff. These clamp kits, as well as everything that comes with the units is very hgh quality and easily installed. I installed the mounts that came with the units in my Shoei Multitec and my wife's Shoei J-Wing helmets and the sound through the wired speakers is excellent. I installed the mount for earbuds on my J-Wing helmet and the sound quality through earbuds is excellent as well. I hope to get out next weekend for a road trip to test the sound quality while moving. The pairing process worked flawlessly, both with the other unit, and with my Droid X. Phone calls take priority over intercom functions, which take priority over wired or blutooth MP3 players. I've only tried them out in the house, but like what I see/hear so far. |
I purchased the "big one" and boy did it do the trick keeping my drink cold between fillups. It was so easy to use while riding and the install is a snap. It's a keeper!!
I have this drink holder on my VTX1300C and on my wife's VT750C. Works great for the price.
Although, it looks really good, it does not fit well when using boots, very little space and causes delays in shifting. The unit also fails to stay in the same position, the set screws do not work.
I had this installed on my 2010 Goldwing Trike when I purchased it. I had one on my VTX 1300 Trike and really loved it. Have taken, trips to Washington for Rolling Thunder and several mountain trips, each well over 1000 miles and no back fatigue at all. My wife really likes the fact that it folds down for her to get on and off the bike. Well worth the price. Would recommend for anyone riding on trips of significant length.
Great seat. Hi quality and workmanship. I've had it for about a year now. However, I can't ride on it all day and should've gone with the King seat. After a few hours the front of the seat creates pain at the top of my inseam on both legs. I'm 5'10 and 200lbs. Ultimate Seat won't provide any type of prorated exchange of the seat so I have to put it on eBay in order to sell it and get a King. Make sure that you go on a long ride within the 15 days in order to take advantage of any exchange or return. Ultimate Seats won't work with you at all after that.
Installed in less than 3 hrs. The downloaded instructions were very helpful on my 2005 Goldwing I didn't have loosen the mufflers as the instructions said. Had to pry on the saddle bag brackets slightly forward and out. All and all not to bad of an install.
Finally something that pleases the co-rider as much as the pilot. This is a great product. Does not interfere with then driver and is an added comfort for the long ride. She LOVES these things after 5000 miles...
I purchased this when you could get factory matched paint. As for the lack of viewing range, I took a brad (nail and put it between the front of the side view mirror and the place whee the blind spot attaches. This way the blind spot has a little more of an angle when installed. My blind spot mirror allows me to see the car next to me until it is half past me. Sorry they still don't match the paint.
I have both the drivers and passengers cup holders. The drivers workout great, I love it on theses 100+ degrees day riding yo work. The reason for the 4 stars is that the wife cup holder rides a little close to the saddle bag, it don't touch, but i think i well put a stich in it just to be sure.
I had the armrest on for about 2 months, no problems. My wife hasn't rode much with them yet, but so far she like them. Going on a 900 mile ride in Sept. that well tell the full story
