Love the look and added chrome it adds to the bike. It really makes the lettering and emblems pop out and be noticed.
The best backrest out there. Period none better
This works the best out of all cleaners I will pay the extra money for how good it works
Really like this oil it's oem and the price is nice.
I bought these for my rear brakes to see how they worked before I bought them for the front. These pads stop my bike better than oem pads they don't squeak like my last three sets of oem pads and so far they are wearing just fine after 5000 miles on them
I have a 12 year old wing with about 20,000 miles on it. The front end felt loose, and there was a fair amount of front end dive, especially two up, so I decided to install the progressive cartridge and an all balls steering head bearing, along with getting the fluid changed. I wouldn't say the bike was transformed but it handles much better now, and the front end dive problem is eliminated. There is a trade off for the better handling; the spring is stiffer than stock so you can feel the bumps a little more. If you want sportier handling; this will get you there. If you like a cushy ride; I say just change the fluid and put the steering bearing in. As for ride height, I can't tell the difference. I was worried I would want to jack up the rear after I got this installed but that hasn't been the case. The new front end still pairs well with the rear. One more thing, if you have this installed, you will need a bushing and seal kit too (another hundred dollars or so).
Installed this antenna with a new CB radio. Double-checked all connections for grounding and continuity. Went to check SWR readings. Way high--past 3 on meter. Spent many hours trying to fix problem and then more or less by accident I found that the coax cable running thru the mounting base had the worst of all problems--an INTERMITTENT short in the coax cable that would come and go depending on the movement of the bike. Depending on the position of the cable it would work fine or not. Replaced with a new antenna that was sent without charge from Add-On. Now the radio works just great but will keep watch for the same condition to develop with the new antenna. Hope this helps if anyone has the same problem.
HAVE HAD THIS ON MY WING FOR 6 YEARS, LONG TRIP EVERY YEAR AND ABSOLUTELY WOULD NOT TRAVEL WITHOUT IT!! KEEPS FULL ICED WATER COLD FOR OVER 4 HOURS ON A HOT DAY, FILL IT UP IN AM- AT NOON AND KEEPS ME HYDRATED ALL DAY.
I have had the Bridgestone 704 and 709 tires on my GL1800 for about 2 years they are the best tires I have had on the bike I probably have about 12000 miles on them and there is very little cupping and they seem to be wearing pretty even. I would definetly buy these tires again
| I had these bars installed by Helibars up at their location in Cornish, ME just 3 weeks ago and I immediately noticed the difference. I had the bike fully loaded along with both me & my wife, all the saddlebags were full, the truck was full, we had a full travel bag on the truck rack, and I had a hitch rack with a full travel bag on it with some tools! We were loaded down and on our way up from Central Jersey (358 miles) and believe me when I tell you I felt the huge flex in the stock handlebars on the way up with all that extra weight whenever I hit even a small rut in the road!! After the install, on this trip, we did another 606 miles before we were home again, and the difference was amazing! The flex was reduced to next to nothing (keep in mind we were still loaded to the gills on this trip) and my sitting position was no longer cramped. At 6'0" 195lbs I always felt the standard bars were a bit too low and in for my liking, my other bike, a VTX1300, always felt more comfortable to me and I could more easily handle slow maneuvers and tight turns better with it because of the feel & position of the bars were slightly higher and out..this was always an issue with my Wing until now. With the new position afforded me with the Helibars, both my position is more relaxed and comfortable and my control of the bike is much improved, especially with the ability to handle it at slow speeds! Of all the enhancements on my 2008 Wing I can honestly say that this is by far the most valued one I made, some may say that the bars are pricey, with install the total package was $895.00, but frankly I can't put a price on the added control, safety & confidence I feel with them..... | I get the most miles and best performance from the 880 Front tire. The last 880 went just over 20,000 miles while using 2 oz.of dyna beads for balance. This seems to be a great combination for traction, smooth ride, and longevity. |

I wish i would have purchased these to start with. They mount very solid and can not slip out of adjustment. Also, your legs are far enough away from the engine which avoids the heat. At 5'10" and 30"inseam, these pegs offer the most comfortable position on the Wing. |
