Mine are just 2 years old and the chrome is flaking off. Bad product and Manufacturer will do nothing about it. |

I posted earlier and now have had the chance to ride in the cold. It was 34 yesterday and the grips never got hot. I rode for two hours and when I took my gloves off the grips were a little warm. Overall I am pleased with the look and feel of the grips. The heat would gave been a bonus but since I live in Florida are not mandatory. The throttle boss is great as I ride with a group many times and the cruise doesn’t always line up with the lead bike. Ride Safe! |

Install was very easy They are louder and better sound for sure. I'm impressed with the improved sound and the price was right too. |

I was initially disappointed with this item. Its quality is not as good as their brake pedal cover. The brake cover was made of steel. This is made of plastic. Has a MUCH cheaper feel to it. Also, as is, it has a very poor install onto the GL1800. Show Chrome should put four mounting screws on it, not just two. With just two screws on the inner end of the cover, it wiggles excessively on the outer end. This wiggle is made worse by the cover being both longer and fatter than the OEM shifter. I initially installed this cover directly on the shift lever as described by the manufacturer. It had way to much wiggle on the outer edge of it. The way I solved this problem was I used electrical tape to attach a 3/8" piece of wooden dowel (the same diameter as the shifter) onto the end of the shifter. (This took up the slack between the end of the shifter and the cover. Now when the cover is slid onto the shifter it has some foundation when it meets the inner edge of the rubber on the shifter.) Then I wrapped electrical tape around the dowel and shifter until it was close to the inner diameter of the cover. Then I slid the cover on and tightened the screws. Using this method, the longer screws stuck out about 1/8 of an inch, so I used the shorter screws and they go in about 1/8". Now the shifter cover feel solid on the shifter. I like the way it dresses it up and matches the brake pedal cover. |

Before purchasing this lower cowl, I purchased fog lamps from Socalmoto. They are rectangular and match the shape of the Goldwing cowl. After installing the lamps and new cowl, there are gaps around the lights and the right side lamp is partially covered by the new cowl. I know this is just a piece of chrome covered plastic but I would have expected it to fit better. As for the knockouts, it’s almost impossible to cut out without chipping the “chromeâ€. I always hate to give negative reviews but this is not a part I’d recommend. The Goldwing is a high quality bike and it deserves high quality add ons. |

I did not want to pay almost $300 bucks for a pair of these lights, but I pulled the trigger and bought them anyway. I must say that I was foolish for not buying them sooner, a blind man can see these passenger lights, makes the rear more visible specially when pullijng a trailer. | Got a set for Christmas from my wife. Took about an hour to install following the directions. I used a pair of channel lock pliers with a cloth to snap the halves together once I tightened the cap screws. I added the throttle boss and I’m ready to ride. I live in Florida so the heat is not as important but will repost when I try the heat. Safe riding! |
| These videos are a great resource. I'm capable of doing the work with just the service manual but these videos eliminate that stress when doing a process for the first time. Fred explains it all so well. The entertainment only disclaimer is pretty comical but I get why is has to be included. My only complaint is that Wingstuff's general description says they cover 2001-current GL1800s. The more detailed description say they cover GL1800s up to 2014. The set I received only cover up to 2012. |
| I, like many others, assumed that this tool would work for the GL1800 since the description says "universal fitment". It does not! Called Progressive who stated they no longer make the tool because it did not sell well. Apparently they told Wingstuff that it was a liability issue. By watching the Fred Harmon video and seeing the correct tool I was able to make the hydraulic line adapter out of 2" electric pipe ($6.00) and grind the hook to fit the shock. Then it worked without issue. So unless your are handy buy the correct tool. DHS Racing sells it for $60.00. |

Very good package here. Love the filter wrench (no need to remove anything else to change the filter!) Crush washers are nice for future oil changes and the plug is magnetic to protect your engine from filings too. I would definitely recommend buying this if you are doing your own oil changes and don't have a wrench and replacement plug. |

Works exactly as you need it to. Slide it on, tighten with the set screw. This has not moved a bit and gives me peace of mind when parking on potentially soft areas. |
