I researched 3 different options including the Honda Factory fog lights and install kit before deciding to purchase the Pathfinder Multi-Function Fog Light Kit w/DRL & LED Strobe. Chris Dikmen from Cruiseman's Garage reviewed the 3 different options and I recommend anyone considering fog lights to watch the video before purchasing. He recommended all 3 but illustrated the differences between them in terms of performance and ease of install which essentially leads you to choose based on personal preference. This set was more difficult to install than the cheaper model but presented the exact same level of difficulty to install than the slightly more expensive Honda OEM kit. My son was home on leave from the Navy and installed the fog lights for me. He did a very careful and thorough installation which ultimately looks like a factory job. There's a lot of covers and screws that need to be removed. The kit provides a link to an online video by Chris Dikmen that shows the installation process step by step. It took my son every bit of 5 hours to complete the installation start to finish. I recommend having plenty of space to lay out all the parts in an organized manner. The fog lights work extremely well and I am very satisfied with the purchase. The hue of these lights are not a perfect match to the factory LED headlights but they are very close. They are super bright and make a big difference. You have the option to use the DRL function only, or use both the DRL and fog lights simultaneously. I keep them on all the time night and day. Once you leave them on they stay on when the bike is running; you don't have to turn them on every time you start the bike. The kit comes with a factory button switch you install in the center control console (it replaces one of the blank dummy buttons) and looks like an OEM factory product. I have not tried the strobe function and don't really have a need for it so I can't comment on that feature. These lights made a huge improvement on lighting the road and making me more visible during the day. I hope this information helps the next buyer. Good luck and stay safe!
Hi quality
Bought these for my 2006 wing. Low beam were easy to fit but had a few problems with high beam. Have used both now and they are fantastic. They are a plug and play which was great. Totally recommend fitting if you are thinking of doing it.
Very nice! The driving lights and turn signals will give extra awareness during the day. The fog lights definitely provide extra visibility close to the ground right in front of my bike at night. The LEDs are very bright. Nice upgrade to my 2012 level 1 Goldwing.
I’ve had backrests on an ‘02 Goldwing and a ‘14 Harley Ultra and this is the best one yet. It’s relatively easy to install (the bracket that mounts to the backrest should be mounted at the factory. When installing the main bracket to the seat, rest the back of the seat on the box that the backrest comes in - it will allow the nuts to stay in place during main bracket installation). All parts are of high quality except the real imitation leather hole cover and mating slot cover - if they were supposed to be oval in shape - they missed the mark. Luckily the back rest pretty much covers it once installation is complete. My wife and I just did 2000 miles and the backrest worked well - no strained upper back muscles like on previous bikes.I like the horizontal adjustment available - very ample.
I mated this to the GT Tour Rack (SKU: BB52-936BK) on a 2018 GW Tour. We just completed a 2000 mile trip. Overall, the bag is a great buy.Pros;Lots of room, expandable pockets on both sides (good for gloves), pockets on both front corners (good for drinks), zipped mesh top pouch (good for hats), handle (positioned well for balanced carrying to and from hotel rooms), Tethered rain cover.Cons;- Attachment points (front corners are double Velcro - they hold well, but the bag slides back a little on the rack) and (along the sides - there are plastic buckles and a pain to loop every morning and if ends are not secured they will blow in the breeze and create scuff mars on the trunk.- rain cover blows off as it doesn’t have a cinching string.Taking everything into consideration, this is a good value that should hold up over time.
The cover fits my 2018 Tour Model like a glove even with my rain gear bag strapped to the Honda luggage rack. Super easy to install and shove back into the pouch. Kept everything it covers dry in moderate rain. Elastic straps do a good job keeping it taught. Stuffed into bag, it is about the size of my rolled rain suit.
Installed the pegs and it went quite easily. I agree with other review that the spring load washer is quite useless to keep the peg from flipping back when you don’t want it to.I used 2 Mylar washers to give some friction without metal rub. Seems to be working.Final thought is about some of the faux chrome metal parts. The metal is heavy duty, the finish is not. I had some flake off soon after the install.
This product is subject to a personal option. There is nothing wrong with the Air Hawk but it might not be for everyone. Some people like it, others don't. I bought one for myself and one for my wife to use on a 4,000 mile trip. She likes hers and I'm still up in the air about mine. I bought the Air Hawk because a couple of ridding buddies love theirs and have had them for a couple of years.
Great product! Looks and fit great! Had dealer install when I purchased my wing. Really ads to your visability!
Nice mirrors. Easy install, but one of the supplied y connectors was wrong. The two wire lead to the mirror had the wires crossed in the connector. Had to reverse the wires in the plug. Otherwise great. So it only gets 4 stars.
This is a nice cover. Seems to be made of a heavier grade material than the others. The reflective piping is a nice touch. I’d recommend it to a friend.
