I just had these shocks installed on my 1985 GL1200i. At first I was skeptical that there would be much improvment in the ride, but I was nicely surprized with how much of a difference these shocks made in the ride of my old bike. Before, the bike's ride was way too stiff. Now it's right and very much like my older 82 Silverwing. I also had the Progressive fork springs installed. If you think that your bike is too stiff, install these shocks and progessively-wound fork springs. You won't be disappointed. And, thanks to WingStuff.com for working with me to ensure that I got the correct equipment for my bike.
