Stop It !!
I was replacing the front wheel bearings on my 2007 GL1800 and noticed the brake pads needed replacement. After looking at the alternative pads, I decided to go with OEM Honda Pads. Heck, I got 43,000 miles out of the originals...why not ? I have to admit, I live out in the country, so I'm not in heavy stop and go traffic much. But 43K is great for a bike this heavy !! |

Simply the best pads available
It's not often that the factory part beats out ALL other aftermarket brands, but when it comes to Brake Pads, ONLY the Hondaline OEM pads will do the job. I ride on the Gold Angels Motorcycle Drill Team, and the slow-speed maneuvers we have in our routine requires near-constant trail-braking to control the speed and maneuverability. This means we go through a lot of brake pads, and I can tell you from personal experience, aftermarket pads don't even hold a candle to the Hondaline pads. In particular, stay away from EBC pads. They overheat very quickly, causing "Brake Fade" on the rear caliper which is extremely dangerous. I can ride 30-40 minutes on the practice field on Hondaline pads before needing to give my Goldwing a rest, but EBC pads cause brake fade at about 10-15 minutes. |

OEM vs After-Market
Last year I replaced the OEM pads with aftermarket pads purchased at Wingstuff. After only about 8000 kms (5000 miles) they had to be replaced. Went back to the OEM for obvious reasons. They may be a little more expensive upfront but you don't have to replace them as often, thereby making it less costly in the long run (literally). |

Can't go wrong
You just can't go wrong with them. I had 28000 on my last set and could have gone way more but I had the bike apart doing maintaince so I replaced them anyway. Even if you are to mechanical they are super simple to install. |

Awesome!
I agree with you other guys - these OEM pads are the ONLY way to go. Came to find out that my bike had after-market pads on it, and these OEM's blow those right out of the water when it comes to stopping power. |

After I had installed the EBC brand recently I thought they were good pads, stopping was good until I noticed my pedal was getting lower and lower. I then proceeded to take the pads out and look what was going on. Pads were worn uneven and thought that was excessive for the few miles I had riddened. I then proceeded to check complete brake system and found that all was good. In the future I will only put HONDA products in my bike. Bike is running fine with new pads and pedal height is back to normal. Please disregard my reviews on the EBC pads that I had given |
