This is a second review and it has to do with the warranty of these mufflers. I sent an email to Wingstuff and they where Johnny on the spot in what I need to do. The only grip is that I have chrome peeling on the tips only but Wingstuff said that the manufacture stated that I have to return the entire system. They will replacement them after inspection or if they deem them not to be replaced would send them back at my expense. I have no real problem weather or not that the tips are peeling but I do have a grip about my wing setting for what could be close to two week. I am still happy with the mufflers as a whole but Not with having to remove the entire muffler system and wait all that time then reinstall another set when the problem could be solved with replacement of the tips. I am talking with a couple of chrome plating shops and they saying for about $20 dollars they can repair the tips in one day.

I realize I'm going against the grain here, because everyone else gave these muffler 5 stars. Maybe I would've too if I had ever got to see and hear them on my Wing. I have to say I'm very disappointed that both sets shipped directly from the manufacturer and had imperfections...I'm now getting nothing for Christmas! The padding in the boxes is used news paper! In both cases the cardboard that is used doesn't keep the pipes in place. They're free to bounce around in the box. I'm a bit disappointed that Cobra packages them in an almost irresponsible manner. It's a bit "Mom & Pop" if you ask me. Most big companies hire firms to design packaging to eliminate the hassle and disappointment that I just went through. Obviously their R&D budget for packaging was zero dollars. Don't they realize their reputation and their dealers' reputations are hurt when this happens? Not to mention the waste of time and money. I worked an hour on my Wing for nothing and spent another hour driving to UPS to drop-off the returns. I just didn't feel like I should have to settle for damaged product, even it was minor, at a $300+ price. I guess I should've as the second set contained a muffler that had a bigger ding than the original set. Stupid me, I had the stock mufflers off, was ready to go, and all I did was put them right back on. And that's where they're staying. |

No problems at all with the installation and the sound were just a little less than what I expected. The sound is ok and a couple of my neighbor made comments about how the new sound of my Goldwing. Now the quality and looks of these mufflers are very good and they do change the look of the bike. "Thumbs Up"

I am pretty upset with my Wingstuff family..... There is absolutely no reason why you didn't tell me to get this exhaust FIRST!! I love it. It took me a while to figure out why my left side exhasut would not slide into the heat shield tabs, but when I looked the slot was slightly bent, after i bent it it slid right in!! They look awesome and sound great. I wish I would have bought these long ago! I am happy because I keep my low sound signature but have a nice throaty growl when I accelerate. For me it's the best of both worlds!!

Just installed these on my 08 over the weekend and logged about 30 miles. Love the new look but was hoping for a little more growl than I got. They sound like the stock pipes most of the time. Noticeably deeper tone only during low rpm - high torque riding. Too bad COBRA doesn't offer a louder model because these are the best looking pipes available, in my opinion.

These mufflers appear to be nice quality construction and chrome. They were super easy to install and only took about 20 minutes start to finish since there are only two bolts on each side. The hardest part of the install was lining up the heat shield tabs with the rubber grommets from the OE mufflers. I liken the sound to a Mustang GT or the glass pack mufflers I used to run on my 57 Chevy years back. I notice more growl going up hills and accelerating through the gears. My wife doesn't think there is enough sound change to warrant the purchase of the mufflers. I'll have to wait and see if there is any gas mileage change. I would definitely say they are not loud or in no way offensive to the neighbors as I ride out. Guess a Wing can only be so loud with its engine design.
