2nd set
| This is the second set of aero flip-out pegs I've ordered. I moved the first set to the 2016 black bike. But then the wife said I should keep both bikes. So, a second set in black. It means I need to move the first set back into the 2001, but install is really easy. I'd seen the reviews and issues with valve covers and impact from the pegs. Maybe I'm too exacting (there are other terms) but if the bike isn't on a road, the pegs are in. I routinely close them when I'm stopping for something or parking. I missed the reviews about the black fading to purple - that will obviously show in time. If it does, I'll edit the review. The original set now has 75K miles without any problems. It did take one "adjustment" (read remove, adjust, replace) to find the best setting. |

Aero Peg Disaster
| I purchased these and was extremely pleased with the product until I pulled into a gas station to fuel up and bumped into the vertical pole that protects the pump. Well the peg held i[ fine but the impact cracked the valve cover as as Twilight experienced, the oil was flowing out. I see that not just myself but another riding friend of mine had the same experience when he dropped his bike. I spoke to Rivco and their answer to my suggestion of a redesign to make the pegs moveable vertically like most pegs are like I was told they can not be responsible for accidents caused any a rider. I am not looking to point the blame on the product. I was just looking to see if a redesign would be possible so this issue would not happen again to other riders. All I can say about this product is give some serious thought if you wish to run the risk of causing yourself a problem. |

Be careful with these pegs
| The pegs are nice and sleek but If the bike falls on its sides while the pegs are extended ;valve cover damage can occur. |

Aero Flip-Out Highway Pegs
| Look great. Work great. However.... after gently dropping my bike(first time in 25+ years) I found out these pegs are made too good.Ripped the right valve cover off my bike and dumped the engine oil in about two seconds. Middle of Nebraska and 4 and 1/2 hours from home.Finally got bike to hometown dealer the next day. $$$$. My mistake but possibly aluminum screws may have prevented such a catastrophe. I still rate them high because I did really like them but cannot see myself ever using them again.Please take this with a grain of salt. |

Great product, with reservations
| I love these pegs. I love the way the seamlessly integrate into the sleek line of my Matte Silver and black F6B, and are not noticeable until I flip them out when I use them. I used the for the first time on a trip from Texas, to northern California and back, and recently to Nashville Tennessee and back. Unfortunately, there are two reasons why I will not re-order. One, the black color turns to purple after a while (either due to heat from the engine, or from UV rays from the sun)but the swing out peg remains black. The entire assembly that is exposed to the sun is purple. Second, I e-mailed pictures of my pegs to Rivco, and have NOT heard anything in a month. I would have kept the pegs, even while purple if I had not let the bike fall over while the pegs were extended and the left one was damaged, and eventually broke off. If not for that, they are a solid product. |

| Quality pegs that were a cinch to install. Low profile along valve covers and flip out easily with a flick of my boot toe. And the anodized black keeps to the black theme of my Goldwing. Sharp! |

Easy install. OK long haul rides.
| Installed on my 2015 Gl1800 anniversary edition. The Aeropegs are an easy to install and look great. Using them for short runs is good. They would be great for long runs too if they could come back just a bit more, or were half an inch or so longer. If you are a shorter rider, like me (5'8") because of the square fairing, you have to bend your knees slightly and lie your foot sideways to avoid rubbing knees on the fairing. |

Good fit
| These pegs fit good, feel good, and look good.. But, as time goes on the black paint on mine has faded from the heat of the motor and now have a purple tint to them. My bike is blacked out and these fit the look of the bike real well. Installation was a breeze. |

Nice look on the new ride!
| I put these on my new 2016 GL and I love the look. Since the bike is black they are a nice addition to the "blacked out look". Very easy to install as they replace the chrome strip. Easy to get too while moving and comfortable for the boots I wear when riding. I like that they dont hang off anything like so many other foot pegs. They are functional and discreet when not in use. I would recommend them for sure. |

Not practical for long rides
| I bought a set of these for my 2015 F6B for the ride to Sturgis and back. a 3800 + mile ride. After reading the reviews, I decided on these because they look cool and match the bike and other reviews said they were comfortable. For a ride down to the park they're fine but when you're out there on the highway for hours at a time they're not comfortable at all, because the pegs come out at a right angle to the heads. When you place your feet on them, it forces your feet to ride parallel to the bike which is not the natural position for your feet. Riding like this also causes undue pressure against the outside of your boot and actually gets painful after awhile because it's pressing against the sharp boot keeper at the outside of the pegs. Trying to put your heel up on the pegs for relief and a different position is also difficult as your heels tends to slip off of the cleats. It usually took me a few try's before I could get my heel to stay on the pegs without slipping off. Yes they're quality and look really cool, but not practical for the long haul. |
