Wife is happy so I'm happy
I have to agree with others on the installation. The arm rests are made of top quality material but I was not impressed with the the way these mount. The mounting brackets are not shaped to the seat back and trunk as I believe they should be. Thus once the stock seat is re-installed there is a small cap. RIVCO provides a foam close out to fill the gap and it stays put just fine, but I still think that the foam was an after thought. This is why I gave them only 4 stars. Installation was straight forward, but you do have to do some drilling, so measure at least twice to make sure your holes will be where you want them and both sides are aligned. Otherwise you might have one armrest slightly higher than the other. As far as the armrests go, they work perfectly. The Mrs. is very happy with them, and they travel well in the up or down position. |

Easy as 1,2,3
Rivco makes great products and install was a breeze. After 18000+ miles we still love them especially the wife. Best product I ever purchased for my Wing. |

Not for me
The arm rests are made of top quality material but I was less than impressed with the mount system. The mounting brackets are so thick that it was hard for the seat back to fit down tight resulting in a small gap that I did not like. I tried to adjust them but the fit for my 2003 GL1800 was not to my liking. I removed them without ever riding it. For $279 I was disappointed and since I installed them I cannot return them. They are in perfect condition and for sale at a discount if anyone is interested. |

Looks great
These went on without much problem. They work and function great. to use the trunk, you will have to pull then up a little. One thing, you will have to seal the leather with a water repellant product. After a rain storm, you can squeeze them out like a sponge |

Satisfied
I really like the look and functionality of these armrest. They were by far the better looking out of all the onse I shopped for. I went with the beverage holder shown in the picture but will most likely swap it out. I will write a separate review on it but the mounting for it leaves a lot to be desired. As for the armrest, they are top quality. The mounting to the back of the trunk area could have been of better designed. somewhat flimsy. I added extra screws and oversized washers for additional stability. My wife likes them as well. Exceptional quality. I just ordered the Ultimate King seat. Ultimate says that their seat (pictured) works well with the Rivco armrest. I was told by the Corbin rep that their seat will not work with these. 5 stars. |

Waiting to see these in person
I saw these on Wingstuff as soon as they came out. I like what I see and love they way they move up and down instead of in and out. Before I can spend almost $300 for arm rest I have got to see a bike with them on it. I would Also like to see someone's on installation photos and documentation of the "issues" they had while installing them. I have read that some guts made some extra support brackets to strengthen up the connection with the plastic truck. Anything you guys can share will help a ton. In the mean time I will keep searching for a bike that has these arm rest installed. I gave these one star because without owning them I can't give them anything higher. Plus I hope people that have these see a one star rating and read my post to see what the issue is about and get them to let me know about their issues before I buy them Thanks |

Great arm rests!
I have come to realize Rivco only makes great stuff. The fitment is a bugger at times but you have to take your time. Just make sure that the passenger realizes that the are only arm RESTS and will not support your body weight. The arm rests will but unfortunately the Honda trunk will not. I especially like the fact that the trunk can be opened with the arm rests up or down. I always get great compliments from people when they see them. |

Less enthused than others
I seem to be in the minority about ease of installation. The angle of the L-shaped mounting bracket did not match the angle of the backrest and side-pocket. It made it harder to align to mark for the holes. This was on a 2002 Goldwing. I remeasured multiple times then drilled the 1/2" holes. I also had a problem getting the passenger backrest back on. There is a gap at the top, and the supplied foam tube wasn't great at filling it. Also, I couldn't get the passenger backrest pulled down enough to completely get the stock two lower threaded mounts aligned in the center of the holes which lead into the trunk area. The docs say there is a 15lb limit to the armrests--meaning the passenger shoul not lean on them to adjust their seating position. Lastly, there is a lot of side to side motion after mounting. YMMV. |

2 Thumbs up
To address my wifes concerns for security and piece of mind we looked into getting some armrests. The swingout ones we looked at were a no-go, wanted a up-n-down ones. These look great, address her concerns and are comfortable. She could fall asleep on back with no fears if she wanted to. Installation took about 45 mins and was easy. Had to pull down on the headrest to get the rear screws to line up with the nutplates on the back of the headrest was the only thing had to do. Very solid design, not a cheap setup. Had to wait about 2 1/2 weeks to get it, but well worth it. Arms move up and out of the way when no passenger onboard, and can open trunk with arms down. |
