Great Product
I have had a Butler system on two motorcycles now and would not take a trip without it! 34oz cup keeps you refreshed between stops. One guy stated "it looks stupid." I don't get it because you can move the holder around and if a large cup on your motorcycle "looks stupid" then so be it. At least, I am well hydrated! The company that sells this product really backs it up which helps! Go ahead and "look stupid" as 99.9% of people will agree that is is a great product that is very functional! |

This was a really bad idea!
Please do not get me wrong, the cup itself is great, it keeps hot stuff hot and cold stuff cold. My problem is with the whole placement on the handlebar....it simply made everything look stupid! Riding down the highway all I could see was this big black cup, no matter where I placed it, it seems to get in the way! Standing back and looking at the bike with this cup installed, it made me realize what everyone was staring at, "This cup makes my 2015 GL1800 Goldwing looks stupid!" I took it off and now keep the cup in the trunk until I can find a better way to make accessible to me while driving. |

Great Cup
I got this back in 2010 and every time I straddle my machine this cup goes with me. Even if it is a short trip around town. I have to have my coffee. Most of the time I use it for hot coffee but sometimes I have used it for a cold Frappuccino. And it does a great job of keeping things hot or cold. I have used this cup for a few thousand miles and it is still like new. Just remember, when your putting the cap on the cup either put your finger over the end of the straw or put that little cap on the end of the straw or the coffee will press up thru the straw and splash all over you if you don't cover the end of the straw |

I bought one of these in 2008 for my 1st GL1800, moved it to my 2nd GL1800 last year. Wouldn't ride without it. Just take a sip whenever you want. No wear, no problems, keeps stuff cold. |

Love This Butler
It keeps my drink cold for hours even in this Vegas heat. I haven't tried a hot beverage in it yet, but I love the fact that it keeps my drink cold. Easy to install as well. |

Wet your whistle
Easy install. I am a long distance rider so this is a must. I added a Camel pack tube with mouth piece then covered it in a neoprene sleeve for temperature protection. |

This is the Nuts Great Product Also Air Bag modification
I use the butler for two purposes. To be able to have a beverage available. In the morning I put in hot coffee. 3oz of French Vanilla and fill up with Coffee. Around noon or so, I fill it with ice and buy a couple of energy drinks. The ice costs nothing with the purchase. I fill the Butler and sip during my rides. Another important use of the cup is to make sure I get off the bike every 100 miles or so. If you are over 50 you know what I mean 10-100. I think it important to make sure you stretch your legs and being forced to stop at a rest stop for relief accomplishes that. I just upgraded to a 2014 Air Bag model. I checked with Butler and while they did indeed note that it will fit, they also reminded me that Honda also does not recommend any attachments to the handle bars due to the deployment of the air bag. Made sense not to put anything over the top of the air bag---Right?? However I still wanted to use it. I went to Alro Steel and bought some 3/8 plastic like Butler uses. I remade the bracket that mounts to the handlebar higher and a bit wider like 3x5". Then I mounted the cup holder on the back of the new mount vs the front like Baker does it. The result is that the cup and holding bracket is well in front of the handlebar and does not interfere with the windshield when turned to the right. I also made sure the new handlebar mount was wide enough (3") to stop a careless turn of the cup hinge to be over the air bag. the result is that I can use this on a Air Bag model and no part of the mount or cup (except in a tight left turn) is over the bag at any time. I feel pretty comfortable that it is safe. |

Would not be without it
Bought my 20oz size 2 years ago and won't leave home without it.It does not matter what the temperature is if you keep fluids in you.It is also a lot cheaper to fill up your mug at the service stations.I have probably saved enough on drinks to pay for the mug. Roadmap |

I owned this for 5 years
I would recommend this cup holder. I ride a 06 wing and purchased this in 2007. In the morning I use it for coffee and sip it through the straw- Wonderful. Keeps coffee warm for a reasonable period of time like an hour or so. Once the day warms up, I switch to a cool drink. I like to go into gas stations, fill the cup with ice and buy a couple of gatoraids or the like. I fill up the cup and put the balance in my trunk for later. You learn to put the straw down into the ice carefully but not a big deal. Now this keeps things cool, especially with the ice in there. Is it too large? I have never had an issue with the cup mounted on the left handlebar. I have an onboard gps so it does not conflict with that and I have yet to find a good tank bag so I ride without one. you need to consider the swing of the handle bar or the space this takes if you have a tank bag or handlebar mounted gps but usually the gps is on the right. |
