I am giving this 3 stars because the light works great. However, the cigarette lighter does not get hot enough to light (or even start) a cigar. If anyone knows where I can get a real cigar lighter that fits my aux plug that would be outstanding, |

It's great for what it's designed for. I've had to replace it a couple of times; but, considering how much rain its been through - I can't complain. Now I just keep an extra one handy. They have always lasted more than 5 months with me. |

Purchased 2 but at different times. One is still working but it is not being used very much. The second one is less than 30 days old and the heating element went out on our last road trip. Good ideal and it is a lot better to use than a regular type lighter while running down the road. |

As a smoker, I didn't want to drill into the tupperware to mount a lighter. Dave, at Wingstuff, recommended this little gem and it works great. I had mine hardwired, I like it that way, but whether wired or plugged this thing works just like it should. The cord could be a foot longer, but beyond that I wouldn't change it. I pulled the metal hanger off the top of it and velcro'ed it to the left pocket. I'm thinking about re-attaching the metal ring and looking for a place on the handlebars to hang it. With the lighter mounted on the left pocket, it's a bit of a reach and hanging it will make it more accessible while riding. |
