Just did a 3500 mile trip. Great item and you won't find it cheaper anywhere else. Totally delighted with the way it was designed to accomodate the motorcycle set up. You'll need a helmet headset to transmit. I have the J&M headset and it didn't disappoint me at all. No VIP discount but, it was already reasonably priced. Not too bad of an install either. The truckers see you as somewhat of a novelty out there. They help keep you out of trouble while riding. |

Four stars for the price. Honda must really be proud of this little fella. It's still the best way to go since it's part of the bike. I had Dave at WingStuff install it. He did a great job and it works flawlessly. |

Just finished install with my riding buddy's 05 and my 07 wing. 5 hours on the first and 3 on the 07 with nav, comfort pkg. Very impressed with straight foward install works great. 1-3 mile range in town.Shop manual for both for first time was a must. Had some problems with getting harness connectors apart each one is different but all in all good experience. |

I took my time installing this additon to my 06 wing, did it in 2 nights. It was a pretty straight forward and fairly simple job. It worked the first time I tried it, almost a first for a non wrench like me. |

I installed this in an 07 GL1800 and everything went well. It requires a lot of attention to detail; it helps if you keep your parts sorted and labeled. Just finished a 4900 mile trip and met some other Wingers on channel 1 along the way. |

First, save time an buy it here. I checked everywhere (Ebay, Yahoo, etc.) trying to beat this price. Second, the install is easy for the average person. The only thing I had done on my 2002 Goldwing was check (not change!)the oil before this install. The install requires the right tools, patience and cataloging which screws are removed from what hole. Track your screw removal and it will make the job a lot easier to complete. My total install time was about 90 minutes, including the antenna (sold separtely). Product works great with no problems. |

Wow! This was a job I wish I had paid someone else to do. The CB went in pretty easily but boy your sure have to take a lot off to get it in. Only thing I didn’t like on the CB was the non-standard antenna connectors. Most CB and VSWR (Voltage Standing Wave Ratio) meter use PL-259 connectors. To use a VSWR meter on this one you are going to have to make some adapters most likely. Got it all back together and everything works. |

This CB radio is the only way to go for an easy install. Works well but a little too pricey. This is the best price I’ve found so far. |

What can I say -- its a CB (30 year old technology). I approached this purchase as a "tax" on the purchase price of the bike so I wouldn't have switches on my new ride that didn't do anything. An integrated FRS radio would make more sense in todays world but it is a nice insurance policy if you are in need of help or need a bear report for the stretch of road up ahead. If somebody told me a year ago I would be spending close to a grand (including install) for a CB radio, I would of punched them in the face! It works and does all it should. Antenna folds like the radio one does (matched). Built by Clarion. The black box portion lays in the trunk which may interfere with any mats you install there. Dealer installed. Somewhat satisfied (average). |

I used www.goldwingfacts.com for extra pointers on this install, but I have a 07 so you won’t have to remove the speaker grills. You really don’t need to remove the trunk IF you have a Dremel Tool to make that 28 mm hole in the trunk. I used zip lock bags to put my hardware in and also labeled each bag so I would know where each bolt came from when it came time to reassembly. A digital camera comes in handy for referring to how the wires were routed prior to putting it all back together. The CB works great. Don’t forget to disconnect your battery first and reconnect it last. A lot of the bike does have to come apart but it comes apart in big pieces so it’s not as bad as it really looks. I’m a seasoned mechanic and it took me about 4-5 hours to install antenna and the CB. Can’t beat the prices at wingstuff.com! |

A lengthy (4 hours for me) install but not difficult. If possible, get the Service Manual. Some of the parts removal would have been much easier if I had one. I could not get the meter plate and weather cover off completely since I didn't know how to disconnect speakers and other wiring. Thus I had to work underneath these for part of the install. Not hard but would have been better if I could have gotten them completely out of the way. You really don't need to remove the trunk. The drill points are accessible witht he trunk in place. Just be careful. |

One of the most involved installs I've done to date on my Wing but was able to complete it in several hours. The manual instructs removal of the trunk but I was able to drill the necessary holes without this step. It saved me many hours of disassembly/reassembly. The unit will come in handy this summer when me and my brother take the Wings on our yearly outing. |
