| I purchased this shifter for a 2006 GL1800. It installed without any significant difficulty except for a strange little rubber plug that the instructions had you push in with an appropriate allen wrench. No matter what size I chose it would not seat and would come out with the wrench even the very small ones. The shifter looks nice and there are no cosmetic issues. IT PREVENTS REMOVAL OF THE LEFT ENGINE COVER. In order to remove the cover cleanly you have to remove the shifter. |

| This was the cheapest place I found to purchase the CB and antenna, saved about 300.00 over the Honda stores. From all I hear, the 100.00 I paid to have installed was well worth it. It is so much more fun on rides being able to hear and talk to everyone, I get alerts way ahead of the actual obstacles. |

| Not too bad to install, wiring was easy to hook up. Adds lots of visability to the back of the bike. The chrome adds a nice break in the yellow, I get lots of good comments. |

| Looks great. Installs fairly easily. I recommend using a 5/16" drill bit rather than the 1/4" called for in intsructions. This gives you a little more wiggle room in case your drill holes are not perfectly vertical. Another tip: Run the screws into the rack before trying to mount. This will clear the threads of excess choming making starting the screws much easier. Finally: Don't buy the large chrome washers seen elsewhere on this site. They don't work well with the sloped trunk on the GL1800. The packaged washers work much better although smaller. |

| Must have if chroming all the other parts in this area of the bike. Have good wrenches on hand...the OEM bolts are dry and tight. |
