Great bargin for the price. I had a problem with the first set sent out and WingStuff stood behind the product and sent a new piece. Found one of the snaps on the trunk piece doesn't snap well due to how it is set in the carpet, shouldn't be a big problem. They almost cover the helmet lock release, but, for the price, the fit is OK. |
Easy to install and like others have stated do spend the couple extra bucks and get one with rubber insert. gives that little extra to the dash area. |
Received my on friday and installed it yesterday. Easy to install and glad I got risers with it cause they made alot easier to install it with them right away. Used the original washers that came with the rack for the bottom of bolt head, so the trunk has more surface covered then the small washers. Figured that will give alot lease stress to the lid with more surface coverage. Do yourself a favor and do get the risers, makes locateing the holes to be drilled a bit easier. Measure 2 or more times before drilling and will save you alot of headaches. Was the first rack I installed that I didn't need to play around with getting bolts started. I have installed racks on all the different Bikes I have had in the past and like I said this was the easiest ever. The chrome on the rack is great but like someone else mensioned, depents on how the sun hits it you can see some milling marks in the aluminum. The different length bolts wouldn't be needed as well, seems like the longer ones for the rear mounting where too long. I had to shorten them to get them tight. No biggy for a mechanic but for someone doing it for the first time could be problem. Just use a couple extra washers if no tap and die available to you. Hope this is helpful to others, and happy riding. |
Save me so much time and money! Wish I had thought of it... |
Wow - Really sharp - Wish they made one for the left side... |
Hondas stock filter uses overlapping layers of metal screening as well as paper. Very restrictive. K&N has a larger filtered opening and no layered screening, just enough screen to support paper properly. My GL1500 is getting +5 mpg. |
If you ask me this is a must have item. I keep my ignition key separate from the remote & all the other 'bike' keys so that I don't scratch up the dash. The rubber cover is a perfect fit and it keeps the other keys from making an unholy mess of the remotes plastic case. The company also makes perfect fitting cases for automotive remotes so we bought one for our Ford F-150 & the wife really enjoys it. The rubber cover also gives you a sure grip on the remote when it's raining. Ride safe my friends and as always; enjoy!! |
I went away from the Kuryakyn air intake covers and decided to go with these. The look awesome and installed in less than 5 minutes. |
Great looking and catches lots of looks by passerbys. Be careful on the installation as you will only get one good chance to get it right. |
Nice looking and it was relatively easy to install. Chrome scratches just as easy if not easier than OEM. If you decide to purchase this, make sure you have bought the rubber cover that is available to go along with it. |
Easy to use and keeps the battery fresh. Never thought of using it on other things like tractors, 4-wheelers, etc. but I will now that I have read other reviews. |
I bought the one for the up front pocket and other than being nervous about drilling a hole in the plastic, it was a breeze to put in and funtions well. Have not tried anything that takes a lot of juice yet but for what I use it for it performs. |
