Lightweight and super easy to use. Made chaning the filter a snap with no need to remove any tupperware. Doesn't seem to fit well to the new Honda oil filter I got though... the old one fit like a glove, but the new one I needed to wiggle on and it scratched some of the powder coating off the new filter. Still a fantastic idea and saves a LOT of time. |
If you are reading this review then you probably change your own oil. Why haven't you joined the VIP club yet? I saved $3.50 PER QUART over the honda dealer. This was installed at my first oil change and there is NOTICEABLE improvement in engine noise/knocking and shifting noise/smoothness. No reason not to buy this oil. |
This is the ultimate in driver back rests. The stitching makes it look like it was installed there by Honda during assembly. The adjustability is serene and it really makes those long trips much more comfortable. I just got back from Daytona, and took 2 trips down there. This back rest made the trip dreamy. I was on the bike for a SOLID 3 hours at a time and no longer suffer from fatigued back muscles and lower back pain. It took a couple minutes to get used to it being there and being so supportive, but once I got over the "newness" it was like it was there all along. It truely makes your Wing a "La-z-boy on wheels". Installation was no cake walk though! I watched the Steve Saunders video before installation which helped, but there were still some difficulties during installation. I had a REALLY tough time getting the angle right when cutting down to the seat base. I had to make this cut a couple times. When you install it (if you have a '06+), make sure that when you measure that 2" back from the end of the drivers seat foam that you add an additional 1/2" because our seats have a small overhang of foam. I didn't do this and there is a small ripple behind the support bar in the seat, but it seemed to relax a bit when I bent the support bar a little. Despite the installation difficulties, this still gets 5 stars for being ultimately comfortable and looking JUST like the Honda stitching. If you are hesitant at all about cutting your seat, GET SOMEONE TO INSTALL IT. It is worth the price, hands down. |
Bought two units, installed one yesterday on Brother's Wing. Although end result of making bike more visable at stops was accomplished, resulting experience is unlike ANY other I have read. First, off comes seat. Locate factory installed module for brake lights. So far, very easy. Upon choosing "flash pattern 2", orange wire needs to be installed on "hot". However, of the 4 total wires on the OEM module, one was "hot", one was "ground", ONE was "brake illumination", and the 4th did "nothing". It's becomes more odd when I find that the only wire, that "illuminates brake lights", illuminates "ALL FOUR" rear lights. Now, here's the kicker...After hooking up the following "THREE" wires from the wig-wag,..(Black, Orange, White w/red stripe), ALL FOUR BRAKE LIGHTS, experienced this flash pattern, "SIMULTANEOUSLY"....FIVE quick flashes, FOUR slower flashes, then SOLID ON. Repeats if brake is released and re-applied. The flash pattern is acceptable, since it does accomplishes the original goal of, more safety, but this is one for the books. Any feedback is welcome. Ride safely,..TWOTIMER |
Well worth the money, better to look at than a scratch. |
Just the right touch in the cockpit, a slight reflection on back side of windshield, not a big problem. |
Good looking trim, easy to install, adds a nice touch to fairing. |
As others have said once it is all said and done they look nice and my wife likes them. None of the brackets were bent to the proper shape. Rather than "pull" the side pocket brackets into shape with the bolts I bent them until they fit flush on the sides and back then installed them. The left side brace for the trunk was basically flat with a few bends in it and took quite a bit of study before completing the job of bending it to the correct shape. And I didn't like the idea of the mike cord stuffed in between the seat and the pocket as that is just cheesy and lame. I wish I had read the review from the other guy before installing mine as I put the holder vertical just under the arm rest support and hindsight is 20/20 and horizontal would have looked better. One stud was broken but that didn't stop me from installing it. On the left side mount I used the bushings to prevent crushing the plastic so a 8.5mm drill or a "Q" drill is required to get the proper fit. If you have the CB you don't have to worry about it as the holes are all ready there. |
While these are a far sight better than the ones on my 1500 they still lack the ability to get them even. The skid bars are offset by one inch but the arms are the same length. This means one peg is farther away than the other no matter what you do. The attachment bracket to the skid bars is really awesome compared to the 1500 bracket. Easy to attach and adjust. I barely gave it 4 stars as both my legs are the same length... |
I've had them on my bike now for a little over a year and like alot of Kuryakyn products, they are starting to rust. My bike is kept in my garage and I've only ridden in the rain a handfull of times. While they function fine, the chrome is sub-standard. |
Nice accent of the front of the bike. Easy to install. |
