Its a very good seat but for the DCT with Airbag which have an Auto-shut down system will stop operating with this seat, so I had to reinstall the old seat for the Auto shut down to work again. |

The seat took between 2, and 3 weeks to arrive, well wrapped and packed, and complete with installation instructions, for a 2012-2017 Victory Vision! Unlike the previous reviewer, I had no issue with the wiring, though it is different to the stock seat. Stock, the wiring from the passenger to rider area runs internally, with a single short cable ending in the connection plug to the bike wiring loom. To me, the longer cables make it easier to fit and remove. With the mustang, the two sides are run separately, and externally, through individual plug/socket connections, with longer cables, both going into the connection plug to the bike wiring loom. Despite having the wrong instructions, I am familiar with the Goldwing seat removal and fitting, as it is part of just about every accessory installation. So I had the seat assembled, fitted, and set-up in about 10 minutes. Comfort-wise, just by sitting on it, is comparable to the stock seat, which is very comfortable by motorcycle standards, but is a slightly different position, making you feel more "in", rather than "on" the bike, and requiring a lower windshield height. The mustang is wider than the stock seat, making it more awkward for my 5'9" frame to flatfoot on both sides, but not uncomfortably so. The bike can still be handled fairly easily. Heating works well, but takes a bit longer than stock. Needless to say, I was eager to try it out. Now with the stock seat, I would begin feeling less than ideally comfortable, by two hours, I would be looking for an excuse to stop, and I could endure three. While I didn't have time for a three hour run, I did get a run of almost two hours in, and am delighted to report that when I got off together back near home, I felt just as I did when I got on, and I'm fairly certain I could ride from full to empty, on this. I had to knock off one star, for the wrong instructions being included, as I did stress a bit about maybe being sent the wrong seat, until I could do a test fit. At this price point, little things like this shouldn't happen. |

So I’ll be the first to tell U about this seat. Took six weeks to receive seat, but they did drop ship it to my house due to some mess up. Not sure what that was but wingstuff took care or it. Now the seats first impression, I would give it a 3 out of 5. There is a big gap in the rear of my seat and you can see down under the seat. The wiring is horrible and for the money could have made it a lot neater, it’s like a bowl of spaghetti. Although I have yet to ride it it does sit ok, ergo seems good but will take sometime to break in. The seat is harder then I had excepted. Some have said their seat sat down and lined up prefect with the bolt holes. Mine did not, and I had to frig with it for over an hour to get it bolted down. Quality seems good stitching all looks good but I’m really on the fence about this seat and I haven’t even rode it. The heat did come on and there was no warning light on the dash so that’s a good thing. So there is the good bad and ugly. If it rides good and holds up to the beating I give my bikes then it’s worth it, I guess. Just excepted fit finish and wiring to be much better. Hope this helps. Oh and the back rest is probably a 4-5. |
