GL1800 Chrome Gold Wing Trunk Rack

As expected from Honda this is a quality product, BUT IMHO it is not sized in proportion to the 1800 trunk. Once mounted it appears much, much too small. If it had been advertised with a picture showing it mounted, as the other racks are, I would never have ordered it. My mistake, now I'll have to live with the dinky little thing till I trade bikes.

I installed this rack on my 2012 Goldwing. It looks great!! Be VERY careful when installing to get the holes drilled properly. I am going to install the star washers to protect the trunk lid from potentially cracking. But, once installed, this is a classy looking rack.

I received this as a gift. It DID NOT come with any instructions or template. Since this is a Honda product, Wing Stuff wanted me to return the rack so they could ship me another one with instructions..???...didn't make much sense.

I installed the rack with the added smooth rubber washers added and it looks great.

Quality product. Looks great. Would give 5 stars except for the lack of instructions & weight limit od 2 lbs.

I love the look of this rack because it is not overwhelming to the size of the trunk lid. The size prohibits the use of item: Deluxe Luggage Rack Bag w/Rain Cover from WingStuff.

Installation was not difficult as long as you measure twice, drill once, and don't totally rely on the template.

Great trunk rack!! I not a fan of the mega racks that overwhelm the trunk, shouldn't be carrying a 50 pound pack up there anyhow. I agree with several of the other reviews that the template could be better, I started out with a smaller hole and adjusted the location when I enlarged the holes, worked fine. Not being a fan of bling, sometime I may powder coat it black to match the bike.
