By popular demand, we now offer a Riser Kit to raise the famous Kuryakyn Billet Luggage Rack for GL1800 by 5/8" and give a larger diameter footprint for support. This will make cleaning under your rack easier and spread the load a bit. Reuses stock mounting holes if you already have luggage rack.

Never again.

Installing these would have been very straight forward had they provided the correct size bolts!

I had to cut and file all four bolts as they were about ¼" too long. This added to the install time and the frustration especially considering the cost. I think next time I will go back to the Show Chrome rack, cheaper, better quality and less trouble to install.

What I needed

These worked well with my efforts to change my trunk luggage rack to a different brand. Good price.

They DO NOT fit without a lot of grinding, drilling and trunk modifications. Especially if you have a spoiler on your trunk. I had to grind them down to mold and conform to my trunk. And I still do not know if the holes are sealed. They are flat on the base and the trunk on the GW's is curved.

Necessary addition with trunk rack, but.....

As others have noted, you cannot install these in holes drilled for the Khury trunk rack. Adding the feet changes the angle of the rack legs. I bought these with the rack and still screwed up the install. Thankfully, the large feet cover my mistakes. Good product--take your time with the install, and don't try to use as an add-on to an existing rack.

wow

These were tough to install. I already had the Kury rack and spoiler, so the holes were already there. My previous installer stripped the allen head bolts and now I see why, so it started out difficult. What I found was that I had to not just enlarge the holes but enlarge them at the angle of the rack legs, then it got a lot easier. Also be sure to cover your trunk against scratches and put something over your open bike for dropped bolts and risers. Two more hands would have helped. Finally, when time to tighten up I used star head drill bits in my allen head bolts. They worked beautifully. No stripping.
