elite 787 are really good

We are really happy with this purchase . They work really well . I was at first concerned about looks of the wiring they seem a little flimsy . But we have had them almost a year with no problems.

Not good as expected

I bought the elite 787 after I made some investigation about the difference between this model and the universal model. J&M told me the elite has a better sound quality and deep bass. After instead the sound quality was very very poor. I ordered another one but the Universal model, installed it on the same helmet and sound quality (music sound) was much better than the Elite 787. Still not as good as I expected but still better.
I contact J&M by mail (because I'm living out of the USA) but it takes them 1 day to answer each mail and they not realy ask all the questions they should to figure the problem but just one question for a day and it takes them another day to answer to my reply.
Eventually I'm in an "email chatting situation" of one day I send them and one day the answer me for almost 3 weeks.
My problem didn't resolved yet.
Not sure if I will buy another J&M product.
Sorry

Elite 787 Series Headset

We had originally bought a pair of Genuine Honda OEM headsets.

On my wifes OEM headset(pillion position) after a couple of days of use the connector between the headset and cable became loose and the cable kept falling out while riding. After a week all the pins were snapped off.

(In the drivers positon it's easy to get off the bike and remove the helmet rather then disconnecting the cable..my wife hasn't figured out how to get on an get off without disconnecting the headset or getting tangled in the cable)

We ended up having a 787 series headset overnighted to our hotel.

It has a strap that keeps the connector between the upper cable and the headset from getting loose. The connection between the upper and lower cables is more substantial the the connection between the headset and upper cable.

After 5 weeks of riding the headset is still working well.

Now my OEM headset connection has started to get loose and I keep having the press it back in while riding.
