Cobra Slip-On Mufflers for GL1800 Gold Wing - Chromed Billet Tips easily give your Honda GL1800 a deeper tone without being too loud. Touring Mufflers retain the stock torque signature, so pulling a heavy load is still possible without rowing through the gearbox.
Installation is easy, and the sweet sound gives the Gold Wing a deeper tone without too much loud volume. Passengers especially will appreciate the improved exhaust note that retains the Wings remarkably civilized voice. These mufflers arrive with a deep show chrome finish.

I installed torque toobs first, and tried to try the OEM mufflers. Sounded like ASS.
THEN I purchased these mufflers. Sounds like a bumblebee on steroids.
Nice rumble @ idle. Quiet as can be when cruising/putting around.
Has a bark when you get on it tho. Not obnoxious, just louder then stock.
I personally (coming from a V8 racing background), don't care for the sound of any 6 cylinder, or 10 cylinder vehicles, with aftermarket mufflers/exhaust, so I'm not IN LOVE with the sound of these, but they do sound MUCH better then the stock mufflers.
I'd buy them again.
As far as install?
Hell, I've had the exhaust on and off so many times in the last couple of weeks, (playing with different setups), I think it took me all of 5 minutes to toss these mufflers on. 4 allen bolts, and 2 12 mm bolts. Slip off, slip on. Easy peasey.
I had these installed at the dealership on my 2008 Wing prior to taking delivery of the new bike when I purchased the bike in 2009. The sound is much better than stock. The only issue I've had is the end cap chrome peeling.
I contacted Cobra about the issue, and they quickly sent me replacements. I too have had comments from several individuls, including Harley riders about how much better the sound is than the stock Wing pipes.
I installed these mufflers 3 years ago and love the sound. The only problem encountered is chrome pitting and peeling on the end caps. I know that Cobra will stand behind them, but figured the replacement ones would do the same thing. I had them sand blasted and powder coated black satin ($25). Now they look good and sound good too.
And we can't wait to show you how it's done!
