Just like everyone says

The comments are all consistently correct. The originals lasted about 4 years. Then of the pair we own, I have to replace at least one every year. These replacements are junk, but they are the only ones I can find. I already have the cost of new headsets in replacement cords.

They just don't last

My only solution for the inferior plastic is to put a couple of layers of Liquid Tape on it where it starts to curl. Wake up J&M and fix the problem.

Junk

I go through these cords like small change. The best thing to do is tape the upper end to make it stiffer and loop it through the helmet strap. Then you might get 6 months of regular use.

Not Like the original

I just got these today. They work, but as the other reviewers indicate, these are no where near the quality of the original cord-sets. They are a very stiff, low grade plastic. The helmet side retainer tab is very stiff and not easily installed. Very disappointed for the $60 I spent for 2. These should be about $5 each. I took a chance after reading the other reviews since these were the only replacement cord sets I could find. They work, but if you can find something of higher quality you should buy it.

Headset cords

The original cords last about four years of routine use. The replacement I purchased were low quality in comparison. After a week the rubber protective covering over the wires started splitting at each end. Had to tape them up. Seems that J&M would address this issue.
