Put these on the other day. Easy install. One harness was bad, but Muth sent out another set within 5 days. They look great and work great.
I could not be more satisfied with these mirrors. The are indeed plug & play as it took me less than 20 minutes to install. They look incredible, the anti glare really works and I like how bright the turn signals are when looking from the side but not as bright for driver of the bike so as to not distract him.
On my last Wing I had the strip of LED blinkers that stuck on the inside of the mirror housing. I am so glad I sprang for the extra $$$$ and got these, they look so much better and are so much more visible.
I just installed the blue, 5 bulb amber version. Extremely easy install. It took me less than 10 minutes and that's without my reading glasses. I'm anal retentive and wanted the amber to match all the other turn signals. I personally think the 5 bulb give off more light due to larger LED. I also like the blue tint as I have this on my Acura and prefer the glare reduction. I don't find the lack of a border that bothersome as the mirror seems to fill the housing enough. My one annoyance? They do not recess as deep as the stock mirrors so they are somewhat flush with the housing and you can see the wires when the mirror is adjusted at a one lane pitch. Maybe this is why some prefer to install the edging. Still 5 stars as the safety aspect is a must.
I just installed the blue muth mirrors, very easy to install and the 5 red led is very bright.
I did notice what other reviews said that you can see through the mirrors in darker light. In my garage I could see the hole in the bottom of the mirror housing through the mirror but when it's in the sunlight you can't see through the mirrors. Other then that they are great mirrors.
These mirrors will increase your visibility. Great safety addition and they look cool!
I did not notice the lack of black molding around the mirrors as did others. If you are asking if the LEDs will cause you a distraction, that is not the case, light that is emitting from the mirror is angled away from the rider and the brightest angle is toward the traffic; the person who commented on the lack of intensity during the day probably was looking at them from his riding position.
Installed these in about 30 minutes…getting the connection through the mirror casing took some time. At first you may think they will not install put angle the top end first and they will fall into place with a nudge at the bottom end where the screw will be reseated. I installed these on a 2012 GL1800.
And we can't wait to show you how it's done!
