Updated design and engineering has made a great part even better! The new Kuryakyn fork brace for any year GL1800 Gold Wing sports a new design with built-in dust covers and a wider base for a clean transition to the fender! The firm, rigid design maintains adjustability for that perfect fit without preloading the forks. Style and function together in one great package!

It works!

I must admit that I bought this piece because I liked the way it looks, but after riding with it, I definitely notice the improvement. Steering is much more solid, especially at low speeds.

Definete Improvement

I sometimes I let go of handles to make a connection or adjustment. Under 40 mph the front would shake. Not with a fork brace though. After installation I traveled for 30 miles just to test at 55 mph with no hands. These should be standard from factory!

Oh Crackers!!

Well received my Gen 2 Chrome Ford Brace for my Level 4 GL1800. A good piece of work and I was so ready to install... When I realized the package say's "Not for Air Bag Models" Well that is what it means. Called Kuryakyn to verify and NO it will not work because of air bag sensors on the forks. Oh well, I am hoping for a credit from Wingstuff upon return on some other goodies for my Wing.

a snap to install

I believe just about anyone could install this brace. The handling improvement at low speed is great. Being a double dark sider I can say it made a handling difference that was worth it >>>> keep the greasy side down, ride hard, live long.

Update on My Easiest Install Ever

Be careful. The screws that hold the brace portion in place are very soft and can't be safely torqued without stripping out the head. Can't understand why Kury would use such soft metal.
