Allows rider to use the fog lights on either high or low beam. Provides fuse protection for fog lights. Without this protection, a short in the fog lights will disable the speed sensor that feeds the cruise control and speedometer. Removes the load from switch. Installation takes less than 10 minutes and is "Plug & Play" and completely reversible. New relay included. Please check local laws in regards to use of this harness. For Big Bike and Hondaline fog lights.
This is a snap to install. For those of you who have radio controls on the left side fairing, after you remove the trim strip completely, remove all four of the 5mm hex head bolts (3 different lengths, so keep track) and pop out the radio. The fog light harness is underneath that. Remove old one and plug together the new one, turn on ignition and test….easy. No need to pop out the fairing pocket. I don't ride at night, so having six lights on in the daylight is a non-issue in Maryland and this was mainly installed for me to be seen, not for me to see, but I would imagine this mod would throw enough light at night to burn holes in the guys retinas in front of you...
This is a must if you ride at night. It does exactly what it says it does. Now my fog lights stay on with High beam or Low beam headlights.
Just under the left fairing pocket, find the plug for the fog light switch. Plug in the harness and reinstall the pocket. Simple.
This is a great piece of equipment! I finally feel good about having the fog lights stay on when I hit the high beams. A few of my buddies stuck a jumper wire in the socket and rigged it up that way so their lights would stay on. One of the guys always had some sort of electrical problems with his bike, the others had blown fuses at odd times, I wonder why? :). With this plug and play harness I won't worry. It comes with its own in-line fuse too.
And we can't wait to show you how it's done!
